Cresswind Spring Haven is coming together...day by day as we watch construction happen around here. It’s amazing to see an empty lot transform into a house. Then you buy your house and fill it with your beautiful things, you then make it your home. Home is a place of comfort, security and where memories are made with friends and family. As I watch all our residents making their house a home and settle into our wonderful community here at Cresswind, I also see the connections being made that are important for our community to come together and thrive. I look forward to the coming months full of events and fun!

The magazine’s editorial space is controlled and supplied by the Lifestyle Director, Shirley Brimer. You can suggest articles about your club or special activities. Send her your photos of your friends – make sure everyone in the photo gives their ok to publish their photo. She and our designer will pick the best ones for publication each quarter.
All ads are sold and placed in the magazine by Print Graphics Services, Inc. PGS does not allow any advertisers to write editorials – we reserve that space for your Lifestyle Director exclusively!

OOur Clubhouse Ground Breaking!
n October 5th, 2024 we celebrated the clubhouse groundbreaking here at Cresswind Spring Haven. Mark LaClaire, Kolter’s Lifestyle Director, organized this wonderful event for us. Everyone in attendance was able to order lunch from the food truck on site, 3 little chicks. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food while listening to live music by Betty Seni. She was great! We had a good crowd of people attend the event. We had new residents, contracted
homebuyers and many people looking for a great community to join like Spring Haven. Katie (Community Manager) and Shirley (Lifestyle Director) were able to participate in the ground breaking ceremony with Andrew Hitch, Kolter’s Community Developer, with the gold shovels and hard hats. This is an exciting event for our community. We look forward to this clubhouse being constructed and expect it to be ready for us in 2025.

Welcome Home to Our New Residents!
Welcome to Haven is our monthly invite-only event for the homeowners who closed on their beautiful Spring Haven home in the last four weeks. This is a fun way for everyone to meet their neighbors and share all the things they love about their new home and community. We offer charcuterie cups, desserts and wine! So far, the little cheesecakes are the favorite. At this event we present each resident with their Cresswind name tag to be worn while at events and in the clubhouse when it’s ready for us. They also are given a candle from Kat’s candles. They smell so clean and fresh like their new home!
We also have drawings for gift cards that are provided to us by Charlie Nelson, the Publisher of The Haven, our Cresswind Spring Haven Magazine. Charlie is always behind the scenes working for our community. He contributes his time, his heart and generously continues to donate these gift cards for the winners to enjoy local businesses. We are thankful for you, Charlie!
This is an exciting event and we love to see the connections being made. Our community is growing and so are the friendships here at Cresswind Spring Haven.

We are excited to have closed 34 homes so far in Cresswind Spring Haven. I have been so lucky to meet every one of the new homeowners and help them through the closing process. What a fun group so far! The association works hard to make sure that your internet, trash, security system and lawn service are all easy to navigate and get set up. We do the work beforehand, so it is seamless after closing. The Cresswind Spring Haven clubhouse has broken ground, and the crews are busy working to get the clubhouse, pickleball courts and pool ready to go! Cresswind Lifestyle has already hosted many new homeowner events and has the calendar full for the upcoming year! We are excited to see what 2025 has to bring and anticipate Cresswind Spring Haven to be the most coveted 55+ community out there!
When the first Cresswind community formed at Lake Lanier in 2010, the then-Area VP of Kolter Homes, Bob Rademacher, created three pillars for the lifestyle program: Fitness, Nutrition, and Relationships.
Fitness, of course, due to the diverse and plentiful class options taking place in the community clubhouse every day of the week. From the gym to the indoor pool, from the yoga room to the line dance classes, the clubhouse was always home to good, sweaty fun for those looking to stay strong in body and spirit.
Nutrition was showcased in the schedule of guest chefs and homeowner-led cooking classes organized by the ultrapopular Cooking Club. With an emphasis on healthy cooking, nutrition was a valued component of these presentations. Relationships refers to the vibrant Club programs that organically take shape as homeowners realize their common interests. From Book Club to Travel Club, friendships are made as programming grows. In addition, opportunities for volunteer services within the region get shared, and wideranging support flows from within the community to various local service organizations.
Over the years, this Cresswind lifestyle brand has evolved and this year, our new cornerstones debuted as Fitness, Relationships, Education, and Entertainment. We like to call it, “Set Yourself F.R.E.E.” Even Fitness has evolved as we
recently partnered with EGYM to provide our homeowners with a unique smart-cardio system that will demystify and support even the most skittish gym user! EGYM is creating a Cresswind app as well so we can keep track of our goals and stay motivated and maybe even scratch that competitive itch.
Relationships remains rooted in the friendships we gain, the groups and clubs we create, and the service we provide for others in our community.
Education has been added due to a core part of our programming that highlights informative presentations from experts in finance, wellness, local government and much more. Our Lunch & Learns are illuminating! Likewise, the workshops offered by local artists and crafty-wizards combine education and creativity, what a power duo.
Perhaps our favorite E, however, is Entertainment, as we pride ourselves on the incredible talent we bring to the community in the form of monthly indoor concerts and quarterly outdoor concerts. From tribute bands to chamber music, from comedians to magicians, our schedule of events will fill your calendar as much as you let it!
So when you see the F.R.E.E. icons, just know you are living in a community that celebrates lifestyle in a unique and thoughtful way and truly wants us all to live better, longer.

Each year the OBIE Awards recognizes excellence in the Atlanta residential real estate and new home construction industry. This year was the first year for Spring Haven to win some of these highly regarded awards.

Rowdy in the Riley
On Friday, October 25th, 2024 we had our first Cresswind Spring Haven community event. We met in the basement of the Riley Model Home, hence its name Rowdy in the Riley aka R&R. This was a great opportunity to gather and celebrate fall and the cooler weather we’ve been experiencing.
The Home Owners Association provided the chili and all the fixins’. We ask the residents
to BYOB and feel free to bring a dessert to share with everyone. And wow did they bring the desserts! We had peanut butter balls, lemon truffles, pumpkin roll, pumpkin squares, energy balls, pound cake, cupcakes, and a pumpkin bundt cake! Everything was not only beautiful, but delicious! It was a nice night of meeting new neighbors, enjoying a meal together and even some friendly games of pool and cornhole.
