Our Cresswind Spring Haven is Underway!
Cresswind communities stand out for their vibrant lifestyle and extensive amenities tailored for active adults over 55. From the time of signing the contract to building a home, the Lifestyle Director will be your guide and friend.
Shirley Brimer is your Lifestyle Director, and her experience and training will provide you with answers to make your transition into the Cresswind Spring Haven Community an exciting and enjoyable experience.
Two of the first questions that you will be asked will be, “What are your hobbies, and what things do you like to do?” When you answer those two questions she will begin to tell you about various clubs, events and activities that are available. When you confirm your interests, she will be able to introduce you to people who are also interested in those same clubs and activities
The Comprehensive Lifestyle Program is all about “setting yourself free” and is focused on Fitness, Relationships, Education, and Entertainment. From the very beginning, you will be made a part of the community by sharing activities and passions with like-minded people every day. Your friendship
group will expand as you meet these new people every day.
There are important amenities that were designed to help you fulfill your personal Lifestyle Program:
*The Pickleball Courts will be one of the first amenities to be built and utilized by the residents, along with walking trails and the Concert Pavilion near the lake.
*The Clubhouse will bring a state-of-the-art SmartFit Training Center, an Indoor/Outdoor pool. Within the Clubhouse will be the Craft Room, Ballroom, Reading Room and a complete kitchen.
Many of the clubs offer the opportunity to enjoy friendships away from our community. There are local trips to Atlanta and regional attractions as well as cruises and dining together while experiencing the local culture.
People who purchase a home in Cresswind Spring Haven are not just purchasing a fine, well-built home, they are becoming a new member of a community organized, and designed around the needs of 55 and over adults.
LIFESTYLE
When the first Cresswind community formed at Lake Lanier in 2010, the then-Area VP of Kolter Homes, Bob Rademacher, created three pillars for the lifestyle program: Fitness, Nutrition, and Relationships.
Fitness, of course, due to the diverse and plentiful class options taking place in the community clubhouse every day of the week. From the gym to the indoor pool, from the yoga room to the line dance classes, the clubhouse was always home to good, sweaty fun for those looking to stay strong in body and spirit.
Nutrition was showcased in the schedule of guest chefs and homeowner-led cooking classes organized by the ultrapopular Cooking Club. With an emphasis on healthy cooking, nutrition was a valued component of these presentations. Relationships refers to the vibrant Club programs that organically take shape as homeowners realize their common interests. From Book Club to Travel Club, friendships are made as programming grows. In addition, opportunities for volunteer services within the region get shared, and wideranging support flows from within the community to various local service organizations.
Over the years, this Cresswind lifestyle brand has evolved and this year, our new cornerstones debuted as Fitness, Relationships, Education, and Entertainment. We like to call it, “Set Yourself F.R.E.E.” Even Fitness has evolved as we
recently partnered with EGYM to provide our homeowners with a unique smart-cardio system that will demystify and support even the most skittish gym user! EGYM is creating a Cresswind app as well so we can keep track of our goals and stay motivated and maybe even scratch that competitive itch.
Relationships remains rooted in the friendships we gain, the groups and clubs we create, and the service we provide for others in our community.
Education has been added due to a core part of our programming that highlights informative presentations from experts in finance, wellness, local government and much more. Our Lunch & Learns are illuminating! Likewise, the workshops offered by local artists and crafty-wizards combine education and creativity, what a power duo.
Perhaps our favorite E, however, is Entertainment, as we pride ourselves on the incredible talent we bring to the community in the form of monthly indoor concerts and quarterly outdoor concerts. From tribute bands to chamber music, from comedians to magicians, our schedule of events will fill your calendar as much as you let it!
So when you see the F.R.E.E. icons, just know you are living in a community that celebrates lifestyle in a unique and thoughtful way and truly wants us all to live better, longer.

Reason To Make An Estate Plan
Your husband’s daughter from his first marriage, Katie
• Refers to herself as your husband’s “real” daughter - as opposed to your children.
• Is openly rude to you
• Continually calls her father for money all the time while she is “between jobs”.
• Your husband adores her and calls her princess.
Michael Turner Owner
Ray Howard Brings the House Down!
Cresswind communities, developed by Kolter Homes, have embraced live music events as a key part of their lifestyle offerings. These active adult communities host outdoor concerts that not only entertain residents but also attract potential buyers.
Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes, for example, recently held its first outdoor concert featuring Ray Howard who had the residents up on-stage dancing from the first beat. This event took place in a picturesque lakeside setting, providing a delightful experience for everyone.
The concert series at Cresswind communities covers various musical genres. Cover bands from an Elvis look and sound a-like to favorites like the Beatles. These
musical gatherings serve to foster a sense of community and create memorable experiences for residents.
In addition to outdoor performances, Cresswind communities also incorporate music into their amenity center openings. For instance, the Club Cresswind at Twin Lakes celebrated with special concerts throughout the summer and fall, then they went inside for memorable parties when the weather cooled off.
These events demonstrate Kolter Homes’ commitment to creating vibrant, engaging lifestyles for their active adult residents, with music playing a central role in community activities and social gatherings.

Pickleball Club is Organizing Now!
Most of us know about the Pickleball craze and might even know that it is one of America’s fastest growing sports. This explains why Kolter Homes decided to invest in the construction of a large private Pickleball facility at Cresswind at Spring Haven in Newnan.
With over 12 private courts near the clubhouse our pickleball facility is planned to serve needs of the homeowners–from personal
matches to scheduled tournaments.
Our pickleball facility is expected to open in Summer 2025.
From the beginning, we expect to have a Pickleball Club that can coordinate activities including regular group meetings, instruction and local tournaments.
Until our Pickleball courts are open for play, we are encouraged to use the
Newnan Pickleball facility, called “The HOP” (House of Pickleball), located at 4 Joseph-Hannah Blvd. The cost of playing at The HOP is FREE! No Reservations – first come, first served. There are 15 courts that are open from 8AM-10PM. The courts are lit at night. Restrooms are available. For issues related to the HOP contact: Brent Snodgrass at bsnodgrass@ newnanga.gov.
Spotlight: Cooking Club
One of the biggest, friendliest clubs at most Cresswind Communities is the Cooking Club.
The Cooking Clubs are formed to provide culinary and social learning activities to Cresswind residents while also providing an enjoyable food experience.
Not only do members have a chance to learn something new through multiple cooking demonstrations, but the Cooking Clubs are known for throwing fabulous social events for major cultural holidays.
One such event was Oktoberfest last autumn at Cresswind Twin Lakes that is shown in these photos. It was a great day filled with food, beer, and friends!
