We ended July with a bang when we had our first indoor concert experience at the shiny new Braselton Civic Center with NEON QUEEN, the ultimate ABBA Tribute band! Nearly 300 current and future homeowners danced to “Dancing Queen” and had an unforgettable night of timeless music and community, which is what we LOVE doing at Cresswind Twin Lakes. Our Fall concerts and events are sure to blow you away, check out page 11 for a sneak peek. Thank you for being part of this vibrant community as we get to know each other, and by acknowledging all the beautiful moments we get to witness every day just by being here.
Through June and July we enjoyed a Music Bingo event and a Music Trivia event on the lawn, where we tested our musical memory and took home an array of prizes for knowing things such as: What music recording certification goes to albums that have sold over 1 million copies? Give up? ..........Platinum!

In the past few months, we’ve added a beautiful walking trail, a Community Garden, and a Dog Park. The trails will continue to appear and eventually will connect the various phases of the neighborhood. On hot summer days, it was wonderful to have the lush shade of the trail to offer a cooler outdoor activity. The Garden is already awash in colors and life and our Garden Committee is busy, teaching each person with a garden box how to care for and maintain their plot. And most importantly, the dogs now have a shady spot to romp around and be cute together!

FALL 2022 “THE LAKES” Well, we sure made the most of a humid and HOT Georgia Summer! The Pickleball courts are good and busy in those early morning hours while our residents get in some practice before the sun chases them off. Even so, a lot of our folks go straight from early morning Pickleball to one of our Fit Mornings classes up in the Eagle’s Nest or Morning Yoga in the Maple garage. One thing is clear, our community loves to stay active!Our Veterans Club organized a beautiful Memorial Day celebration complete with a flag retirement ceremony that most of us had never witnessed, and it was moving and humbling. I know next year’s event will be even more amazing, behind our new Clubhouse!

The Natatorium breezeway connecting to The Club is complete, drywall is underway along with metal roofing and exterior painting.
Two additional trail connections have been installed. The first is located between the Community Garden and the Dog Park meandering to the lake.The second is a continuation of the initial trail by the wooden bridge on Twin Lakes Blvd., traveling down to the lake. One additional Pickleball covered seating is on order and will be installed very soon.

On a stormy, humid Saturday evening, our CTL community was grateful and relieved to have our first indoor concert event at the brand new Braselton Civic Center! The beautiful ballroom hosted nearly 300 current and future homeowners for a fabulous night of late 70’s, early 80’s pop hits by ABBA, perfectly performed by The Neon Queen. Harmonies and costumes and a beautiful, exciting stage show kept the room on their feet for almost two hours. We are so thankful for community partners and for an adventurous and fun-loving community! Next time, we’ll host The Neon Queen in our brand new Clubhouse!

On this important day, we hosted “Walk With A Doc” in partnership with Northside Hospital. For this early morning event, we welcomed Dr. Dev Mangalat from Northside Vascular Surgery, who spoke with our group about vascular health and the physical signs to be mindful of and ways to head off common issues. Walking and drinking lots of water is a good starting point for every body! After the initial discussion, we hit the walking trail in all its lush glory and made our way from the top of the neighborhood down to the end of that section near the main entrance. We finished up outside the welcome center, enjoying fresh fruit and healthy snacks before taking on the rest of our day. We are grateful for this relationship with our local hospital system and their interest in being a resource to our community.
