Twelve injured as patient transporter overturns AT least 12 people being transported to Pietermaritzburg for medical attention were injured early on Tuesday morning when their patient transport vehicle overturned on the R33 outside New Hanover. All 12 sustained minor to moderate injuries. EMRS and ER24 were on the scene. The injured were transported to Greytown and Northdale hospitals for treatment.

Murderfor money bail hearing A LARGE and noisy crowd were evicted from the Greytown Magistrate's Court on Monday morning during the bail hearing for the five "murder-for-money" accused. The level of noise was so intense that court officials were unable to hear proceedings and the police were called in to move the crowd out of the building. According to witnesses the crowd was split into supporters of the victims and supporters of the accused. At the time of going to press the hearings had not been completed and continued yesterday, Tuesday. The five appearing on charges of murdering three people to benefit from insurance policies are Doris Dladla, Hlengiwe Judith Zuma, Mildred Fisani Khoza, Zamokwakhe Joseph Khanyile and Ddo Khumalo. Greytown Magistrate Mr C.F. Masikane is hearing the bail applications.
