a time of rebirth, celebrating Yom HaAtzmaut, the 66th anniversary of Israel’s independence on May 6. Springtime is also when we count the Omer, 50 days we announce to remember God’s gifts of freedom and sustenance. Our daily count for seven weeks is an affirmation of the blessings in our lives we take for granted, and upon which we depend. Spring at Chizuk Amuno invites us to gather together in the bonds of community that sustain us. We anticipate a Congregational Day of Learning and a Religious School Dance Festival on Lag Ba’Omer, May 18, a special concert drawing on our Jewish musical heritage on June 8, our

Krieger Schechter 8th Graders’ trip to Israel, graduations from all of our schools throughout May and June, our Annual Meeting on June 1, Shabbat celebrations each week, and so much more. Spring’s beauty is most certainly something for our eyes to behold. Spring can also inspire us in other ways. Join us at Chizuk Amuno to feel Judaism’s spirit of renewal, touching our souls and strengthening our lives. B’Shalom Rav,
