This is where lovers of oak come. Until very recently, our oak Henley kitchen occupied the realm of traditional country kitchen. But we knew that it could do more. We looked at what worked and what didn’t. We considered what we wanted it to become.
Now Henley translates at each end of the style spectrum, from classic to contemporary and everything in-between. Our cabinetry creations have grown, we designed sleek Black-Bronze hardware, we introduced square corners and detailing to sit against the curves, we welcomed a painted finish to introduce high contrast, and we’ve advanced the mechanics and storage configurations in every way possible. This is Henley, upgraded.

There’s so much more than two or three design details to share with you for each of our collections, but below we’ve picked out just a few of our favourites for Henley. The rest you’ll find out when you see them, in person. We wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise...
PAN DRAWERS
Henley’s pan drawers are a bit of an icon. Giles (our co-founder) has the Henley in his family’s home; his children used to hide in the lowermost pan drawer which gives you an idea of its generous proportions. They can hold up to 40kg thanks to the high-grade runners, and are lined with Black-Bronze rods to protect the oak from scuffs.
DRAWERS IN DRAWERS
Sometimes you’ll spy an extra drawer within a cabinet. It may be a cutlery drawer or a cleverly disguised compartment inside the bin cabinet that offers a much-needed place to pop bin liners and neutralisers.
SLIM SPACES
Pull-out cabinets, chopping block and tray slots, tea towel rails – these are all slim space concepts that are excellent at filling gaps or framing key components such as a cooker. Even the smallest design has the potential for high performance.
THE LARDER
This may well be our flagship larder, and you’ll find it in both Henley and Limehouse. When you open its door, you find a deep central cupboard area with our adjustable zigzag shelving. Then there’s the rack on the inside of the door that has storage sections at various heights. It doesn’t stop there. There’s a further oak pull-out rack on the other side that offers even more shelving space, and drawer space beneath.
COUNTERTOP BI-FOLD
Our countertop cabinets are a much-loved feature in every collection, but Henley and Suffolk are the only ones to offer this open-base design with solid bi-fold doors. Clutter is kept contained and well-disguised, appliances can sit on the work surface but they too can hide behind closed doors, and the bi-fold mechanism means minimal space is occupied when they’re opened out.

A dark and striking kitchen to fit into a multipurpose room. The standard snow colour will stand out impressively against the Charcoal hero wall. Loves our Cranbrook shiplap – can we incorporate it in the design?
THE RESULT
An impressive and enviable kitchen, seemingly small at first glance but very functional in use. It has everything our customer needed in a contemporary and open design. We used the Cranbrook shiplap on every wall but the Charcoal hero wall, and it perfectly softens the stark contrast between the Snow and Charcoal, directing all eyes to the kitchen and the statement worktop and upstand.

THE BRIEF
A timeless oak kitchen with considered design.
A Henley kitchen was set-in-stone since first seen six years ago; specifically, Henley Oak. An island would suit routine, but not sure if there’s space. Wanted a more atmospheric colour than Snow but left that up to us.
THE RESULT
This kitchen had the challenge of fitting in the front of a Georgian town house around those characteristically large and low sash windows, which was a challenge we relished. We didn’t want to compromise on space or storage and whilst our customers wanted an island, we didn’t think there would be enough room, so created more of an island/bar area up against the wall that had room for everyone. For the colour, we decided our AW19 seasonal colour, Cactus, would be the perfect fit with Henley’s Seasoned Oak finish.

THE BRIEF
A laid-back and built-in kitchen in blue.
Wanted a large, colourful and contemporary kitchen with a focus on drawer storage to sit in their new barn conversion. A large island was a must as love to cook and entertain. Knew they wanted it to be blue but open to ideas.
THE RESULT
At Neptune, when we think blue, our thoughts instantly turn to our AW19 seasonal colour Flax Blue. We knew it would be the perfect fit, and when we showed it to the customers, they came back with the perfect splashback tiles to match. Knowing they wanted their cabinetry to be built in, we used this as an opportunity to make a show of the colour, with the full height cabinetry almost acting as a statement wall in itself. Our customers have previously had wooden worktops, so we incorporated those, and it worked perfectly with the repurposed brick flooring. We added four Tennyson Pendant lights for the finishing touch.
