Doris Place Festival
It was so much fun helping out at the Dorris Place Festival last (In put date). I volunteered to help out in one of the booths in charge of handling people's food, and it was such an awesome experience to work with my friends on taking and handing out people's orders, especially at the last hour of the festival when we had a bunch of customers ordering in the last minute. A lot of the people were so friendly and nice so I'm really looking forward to attending the festival again next year -Hyacinth Vergara

Aids Walk
The reason why I considered on participating in this event was because I knew it was for a great purpose. My experience in the walk was wonderful. It was wonderful because I was lucky enough to be exposed in an environment where people put aside one's differences and joined in to support a cause. As a result of this, the atmosphere during the event was alluring and pleasant. Everyone shared laughters and had a great time. In this aspect, Aids Walk 2015 was a great opportunity to meet and socialize with people. Jose Torres

Month of September 2015 Member of the month: Saad Tohid Congratulations to Saad Tohid for being recognized as the member of the month for the month of October! This past month, Saad has done an excellent job of demonstrating his passion for service.
In October, Saad attended the Dream Halloween event, the ALS p.6 Officer of thePlace Month p.8 walk, as well as the Dorris Festival event in order toBoard help and with their music program. Saad’s dedication to service truly brings out the core values of Key Club, including leadership, character building, inclusiveness, and caring.
Besides Key Club, Saad is actively involved with the cross country team at our school. As a well-rounded Barrister, Saad proves to be a wonderful example for fellow Key Clubbers to follow. Overall, we’re proud to have him in our wolf-pack and we hope that he will strive to continue to be the diligent member he is now! Brian Woo John Marshall High School Vice President

Month of July 2015 Officer of the month: Lia Kim Congratulations to Lia Kim for being the Officer of the Month for the month of October! Lia has shown an extraordinary effort with Key Club this month, as she attended events such as the E-waste event and the Dorris Place Fall Festival. At Dorris Place, Lia was the KEYstone in our connections with the organizers, as she, quite literally, helped run the place! Besides serving at volunteering events, Lia has been working incredibly hard at making sure our club has sufficient funds for our partner charities and for our regular budget – culminating, for example, in the Boba fundraiser that will be going on soon! Lia has grown very much since the beginning of the term, as her interactions among the board members have become more focused and effective in terms of communication and delegation. As Lia begins taking on more leadership roles within Key Club and the other extracurriculars she’s involved in, she’ll reach heights she didn’t know existed. Division 3 South We’re so excited experience her growth and to have her on our Region 7 team. Kudos to you, Lia!
