The rhythm of colors and textures.
What’s your personal heaven?
Have you seen those cafes in Japan that are just full of like 100 cats?
What terrifies you the most?
My biggest fear is being bored but I’m lucky to have always been surrounded by weird people. They always bring such unique insights, inspiration, and excitement to my life.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your work alone?
I enjoy having any and all cameras far away from me and spending time caring for all my plants and friends. Also, improvised comedy and role playing games have become a passion of mine.
What impact do you want to leave on the world?
All music can be an escape or present a deep sense of community for people; a place to belong. Metal or more specifically, concerts, is where I found mine and still do. At nearly every show you have the chance to be introduced to someone new or you meet an old friend and spend every minute between sets catching up.

Weird things. Textures. Signs of age or when something looks like it has a history. Animals and nature. Eyes. Mythology. Magic, rituals, witchcraft, the supernatural.
What’s your personal heaven?
A place free of anxiety and the constant pressure to keep moving.
What terrifies you the most?
Problems without solutions. Life mistakes with permanent consequences.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your work alone?
I’m told I was born in an earthquake.
What impact do you want to leave on the world?
I don’t expect to leave a big impact but I want to practice kindness, empathy, and understanding opposing viewpoints. Leaving a significant impact on the world is a big task but everyone has the ability to improve how they interact with their fellowman. Being cruel to others causes them to spread the behavior because they’re hurt or spiteful... being good does the same. The way we interact with others seems to spread so I think the only way I can impact the world is to work on myself.

Balance or in other word reverence to what is, is always beautiful. I believe that we are surrounded by beauty… Our limited perception of unawareness to it’s magic blinds; sees and constructs its lack from a place of control and greed… Ultimately, it is a choice between love and fear. I am inspired by juxtapositions of oddities, by unexpected little things, nature, and by the music of others… I love observing the female in its forms and gestures… I am intrigued by style that is expression of our times and individuality.
What’s your personal heaven?
Living, in buoyant potential and childlike curiosity, sharing, loving and creating from a place of pure communion…are true ingredients to my happiness. I love feeling alive with all my senses, as I love the world of imagination and ideas. I believe being one with flow- one with purpose; undivided, whole, unobstructed by the incessant internal dialogue- is what I would call my ultimate personal haven, rarely attainable. Interestingly enough, I come close when, during a shoot, the moment takes over and all players and elements somehow magically melt together like in a dance…
What terrifies you the most?
I would be terrified if I stopped learning and sharing! I am, in all humility afraid of the last chapter.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your work alone?
I hope my work, even if so faintly, is a reflection of my observations in my soul searching and collaborations. Expression inspired by contemplation, connection, communication, collaboration through the form, celebrating beauty in reverence to the essence, spirit.
What impact do you want to leave on the world?
Inspiring the perpetual connection with beauty… Harmony amidst cacophony… I want my images to outlive their aesthetics for the questions they subliminally ask. Poetry is my visual language. While Fashion has always been my ally in branding time and mood, I find myself in the process of creating art, to be guided through dreams, juxtapositions, collaborations and the unspoken connection with the observed. Defying limitations of time, my vision of beauty is invitations to greet the gem of the other beyond the temporal veneer of illusion… subsequently the blurred line between the tangible and the fleeting moment’s inner dimension.

I love to observe nature, the way it exists without any other purpose than simply to exist is beautiful. Everything has the potential to be inspiring for me because it is about perspective. Witnessing growth from personal experience as well as understanding and expressing emotions is always a theme I resonate with.
What’s your personal heaven?
A personal heaven is a state of mind where I am connected to the Source of every living thing, where presence through every experience forms a deep sense of peace and clarity that allows for expression to flow.
What terrifies you the most?
Experiencing life through a limited mindset.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your work alone?
I tend to work amongst different avenues of expression, depending on where my energy is taking me. I try not to define myself through one medium, and in doing so I let curiosity and intuition lead. At the moment, ink is in the forefront but creativity for me flows into running a design studio, music, cooking and collaborating with friends.
What impact do you want to leave on the world?
I’d like to inspire others to embody the belief that they are innately creative beings in a way that is authentic to them. To show the power of empathy, generosity and art as a window to experience a higher consciousness.

Small doses of happiness is the most beautiful thing in life for me. I mostly find my inspirations in big modern buildings. I tend to find optical circles within interesting shapes.
What’s your personal heaven?
Walking in nature with someone I love.
What terrifies you the most?
When I lose self-esteem and become afraid to be challenged.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your work alone?
I am obsessed with taro slush smoothie with tapioca.
What impact do you want to leave on the world?
I don’t worry about that.

I derive the bulk of my passion and inspiration to work in my field and to be a change maker from nature and being in the outdoors. Although I have a bit of an obsession with human behaviour, and I find so much beauty – and also chaos – in the small things about people and societies we might take for granted, I’m drawn to the awesome and complex interactions and support systems nature has created, even down to a microscopic level. It fortifies the fact that disruptions in these systems created over millennia can cause a fragile and perfect balance to unfold and collapse, and inspires me to do my best to support this. I find beauty in biomimicry, and people who, for example, build homes that rejuvenate indigenous flora, fauna and creatures to their areas, and who are self-sufficient and live in a totally circular and sustainable way; one with nature. This is what I hope can come to fruition for the fashion system, and what inspires me to keep pushing.
What’s your personal heaven?
My personal heaven would be a world that functions as described above. Rather than building and creating on top of nature and ecosystems, I’d love to see a world designed within and in partnership with it. While doing so, supporting and rejuvenating craft, and supporting womxn in order to alleviate poverty and allow for equity would be an ideal.
What terrifies you the most?
People who are excessively greedy, oblivious and selfish, and the point of no return for the planet. We are already seeing the consequences of climate change now, but I fear the uncertain of the near future, even in my lifetime, what sorts of effects will come into play, and how our lives could inevitably change. I simply don’t understand how people can be so greedy, and why they need so much money and so many material belongings, when this could be easily diverted and put to use to help support and rectify so many people and places in dire need.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your work alone?
Similarly in the sense that I can be a bit of a masochist with my workload and the number of projects and collaborations I take on board, I can be a bit of a masochist to my body as well. I used to sail competitively throughout high school,

and am an adrenaline junkie, snowboarding since I was eight years old, injuring myself a few times, and climbing a few mountains. I am an avid cyclist and occasional runner, hiker and love a good Vinyasa yoga sweat. Any way I can push my physical body to its limits, especially while adventuring in the outdoors, I’ll jump on the opportunity. From long endurance bike rides, to top rope climbing, to sweating my way to the top of a mountain on snowshoes, a split board or in the heat of the summer, it’s a great mental exercise to push yourself through the toughest moments, to learn to use your breath and be present, and to discipline yourself, as you would in work or personal life.

I hope that I can be an influential activist and designer as part of the wave of designers doing things differently: taking risks, experimenting with new business models, strictly abiding by their values, and rebelling against the status quo. I hope that by the time I’ve finished working, I’ve managed to set up a positive and circular business model for future designers to follow, so that we can make an effective impact on rejuvenating what we’ve already destroyed.

I think the human experience on Earth is beautiful. I often try to be more present in the moment to appreciate the little things in life. I believe that everything is connected, and I am slowly learning that life doesn’t have to be characterized by one sort of experience; there are many ways to live. I find inspiration in art and design that includes bold colors and shapes, such as Henri Matisse’s cut paper and Memphis Milano furnitures.
What’s your personal heaven?
I would love to just lay in soft grass in an open space, and feel the breeze and the warmth of the sun.
What terrifies you the most?
Loud disturbing noises. I live on a very busy street in Brooklyn, and being in New York in general is being exposed to loud noises all the time. The worst noise to me though is the trains screeching into the stations.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your work alone?
I love visiting different parts of the world. I trekked in the Himalayan range in Nepal, and also stayed in an ashram for a month in Northern India two years ago. Traveling taught me to be curious and empathetic towards others, to be humble, as well as to learn about different cultures and ways of life.
What impact do you want to leave on the world?
I want to communicate to the world that we are one. It’s heartbreaking to see the amount of things happening in the world that boil down to country against country, people against people. There will be more peace in the world if we simply are more understanding towards others, and have more empathy for all life forms.
