The Master Plan Our Father wanted fellowship, So He made the human race. But Sa Satan tan sought to intervene… And the lovely plan erase. At the cosmic convocation, Which convened in the ethereal hall, Fore Foreseen was the tempter’s strategy And they they knew of Adam’s fall. Just then they planned to counter That attack when “Time” began, And the Son said, “I am willing”, And the road to the cross began.

It was love that sent the Savior… To purcha purchase redemption’s redemption’s plan, We have regained our fellowship, fellowship, Because of the Special Man. And Satan’s plan was thwarted, Outside of Jerusalem’s walls… Christ’s blood still has the power To cleanse men from that fall. And now what sweet communion As we linger with Him here To know He is our Father, And we His children dear. He puts His arms around us Gives strength for us to stand He heals and He delivers – And He says, “I understand”. And now life has a purpose… It now such meaning brings Because He is our focus From which we view all things! Maxine Tolbert Trigleth

Plans May Change By Anita Have you ever had a plan that you thought would work? Have you ever had to consider changing changing that plan? Reflect on these two wellwellknown persons: persons: Mary and Joseph. They were engaged to be married, and probably, as other couples, couples, had plans to begin a home together, earn a living, and raise a family. These ideals, ideals, in themselves, themselves, seem like good thinking, but God called on Mary and Joseph to make some changes. Yes, they were to make a home together, but Mary was chosen to be the thoughtful Mother of God’s Son, the Messiah, the Christ Child. What an amazing, divine change in plans! Her reaction reaction to God’s new plan is found in Luke 2:182:18-19: 19: "And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart."

“Follow the Lord’s rules for doing His work, just as an athlete either follows the rules or is disqualified and wins no prize…

“Work hard, like a farmer who gets paid well if he raises a large crop. “Think over these three illustrations, and may the Lord help you to remember how they apply to you.” 2 Timothy, Chapter 2 TLB ---------------------------------------------------------------------

TODAY God has given you this day; It can be good, come what may. But if you take some time to pray, You'll have a much better day. Byrum C. Lee: 01/2013

The shepherds shepherds glorified and praised God while Joseph and Mary humbly followed this new purpose for their lives. Our hopes and ambitions may seem so great, but in the plans of God, God, we might be called to lay aside those things that we think would be so meaningful. If so, after after we make those changes and follow the path guided by our Lord and Master, we will find that foll following ollowing His plans brings far more rewarding results results than we could ever realize. realize. 1 Peter 2:11 2:11-12 "Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify glorify God in the day of visitation." Our wishes to be successful, respected, and accomplished are commendable aspirations and can be reached by the guidance laid out for us in God’s Word. In believing and meditating on thes these scriptures, we will discover the foundation for a triumphant life. Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any thing praiseworthy--praiseworthy---meditate ---meditate on these things." (New King James Version)

A beautiful song shares these words of wisdom: "Only to be what

He wants me to be, Every Every moment of every day: Yielded Yielded completely to Jesus alone, E Every very step of this Pilgrim way; Just to be clay in the Potter's hands, Ready to do what His word commands, Only to be what He wants me to be, Every Moment of every day." We live in a world filled with greed, deceit, and sinful ambitions. Hopefully, our plans and dreams will reflect God’s wisdom as we are assured by the song: “Little is much when God is in it.” edited -------------------------------Editor: Anita sends her thanks to everyone who prayed for her husband, Gerald. They both are doing doing better. --------Most Importantly - Plan for HEAVEN – It will be worth it all! THE HEAVENLY CITY The Heavenly City that we're hoping to find, Is much better than what we'll be leaving behind. Our hope for tomorrow is not what—but Who. For it's Jesus' face that we're longing to view. Heaven wouldn't be heaven without Jesus. It is He who makes it attractive for us. Streets of gold are much better than asphalt. And walls of jasper, superior to basalt. On the banks of the River I want to sit, And dangle my feet in the water just a bit. There will be no need for a midnight curfew. And each day I'll be able my life to renew. Eternity is something that I cannot grasp— The very thought of it causes me to gasp. Time won't be counted by days, months, or years. Our joy will be endless—there'll be no more tears. Byrum C. Lee: 01/2013 5

name be restored. We should not take any “hear“hear-say” and report it. We should keep a guard at our lips and a sentinel over our tongue. We believe believe that we are our brother’s keeper. (An excerpt from an older Christian Triumph tract - available)

He was at the head of one of the great Biblical institutions. A man of many parts and much experience. A man sober, sensible, and spiritual. On this particular morning, when the editor visited him, he was serious. He had cause to be. He was in the judgment. He was in more than a judgment – he was in the misjudgment – and this is the hardest of all experiences. experiences. He had been misrepresented; he had been the object of lies born of jealousy. Tales had been peddled which had not the slightest foundation of truth. He was smarting and he was hurting, a thing Christian workers often suffer. He was re really slandered and was suffering the pain of it. He was wondering why Christians Christians held other Christians Christians with so little regard – just what many of us have often thought. He was wondering why Christians Christians are jealous of each other, rather than zealous for each other………

How often we have failed and and sinned, so often that there is no selfselfrighteousness left in us as a hiding place. But how freely has God forgiven! He has washed away sin stains! He has taken away away sin pains! He abolishes sin’s reign! He is a wonderful God! And with such need of grace on our own part should we not be gracious and kind with others………….Sel. Please, Don’t Judge Me, Try Walking in my Shoes In this busy year, year, there are persons all over our world living lives which are underestimated and misunderstood, yet, are very special to God. Let’s walk in their “footsteps” “footsteps” for just a moment: It’s not unusual to see grandparents with full time jobs, rearing grandchildren, grandchildren, other other older workers finding finding financial hardships when trying to retire. retire. Even though fatigued, many persons continue helping others, their families and the church. church. God bless each one and give us all patience and love towards each other. Editor

It should should be our rule never to degrade any man and if it seems necessary to rebuke, we should seek always to do it with great reluctance The BIBLE admonishes us to be careful about judging till the Lord comes, for judgment is not ours but His. We should guard the good name of all Christian workers, and if a bad name should come to any, we should labor and pray till that good 7
