my best. Sometimes on my bad days I am closer to God because I need Him so much more. As a minister I wish I could tell you that I am never depressed, however, however, my Dr. placed me on an antiyears ago. I anti-depressant struggled struggled with him for a long time about this, but God is blessing, blessing, and I am still well loved. The reason for being on this medication is not about how I “feel” feel” but the fact that my brain does not produce the necessary chemicals. Faith did not overcome this. In truth, Salvation is a fact, it is a Gift from God, and, as Christians, we do do not need to try and convince others that “everything is all right” right” when the world is coming down around us. Furthermore, if we never had any issues in this imperfect world, then then we would not require God or salvation. But…we need God, and only when we call upon Him can we find peace. A number of years ago I had been going through many tough lifelife-changing changing problems, everything from the loss of family members, having 3 teenagers, losing losing a house in a storm and other lifelife-changing situations situations. In all of this, this, I “felt” felt” God’s God’s Presence and His blessings, even though overwhelmed. I remember attending a convention and, and, in the midst of this, this, making phone calls trying to obtain a loan to build build a new house, house, etc. It was then, that God prompted prompted me just to admit that I was feeling “pain.” I did not go kneel at the altar
FINE AS FROG HAIR By Pastor Ron Richardson Heb. 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. If you will please excuse me for not staying close to the Word but just giving a few thoughts of my own, I will really appreciate it. “Fine as frog hair” hair” is a term from the Ozarks. My Dad used this expression, expression, as well as many other people. As I grow older and people ask me how I feel, feel, this phrase is how I and others answer. “Feeling” Feeling” is only listed in the KJV two times, once as “beyond feeling” and the other is listed in Hebrews stating that “the master feels for us.” What is it about feelings? Being retired now now, ow, I “feel” feel” much different than I did as a teen. But what are we suppose to “feel” feel” like and how important is it. I know that how I feel does not change my position as as a Christian. Even on my worse worse day I am just as saved as on 3
or even talk with another person. In fact, I was just walking around; around; there was no lightning from heaven, no voices - just becoming becoming aware of a Peace that had not been been there for a long time. That Peace Peace is still there! there! I had not even realized that I was that hurt. God just wanted me to acknowledge that I was “feeling” hurt. hurt. So simple. Don’t hide the fact that you are in pain or hurting, that you have fears or issues even with God. He is a big God, and we are not going to “hurt” hurt” Him or chase Him Him away. We can still be as “fine as frog hair”; hair”; yet, we must first admit that we are a frog, and without God, God, we will croak. God bless bless!
traffic with a speck of white bread in their mouths. In the midst of this picture was an ant which was charged with high voltage ambition. It caught caught my attention immediately because because of the the extraextra-ordinaryordinary-cargo it was trying to move. It was about three times the size of the ant. Was it greedy or just zealous to fill the underground kitchen shelves? Whatever the case, it had a grueling task and needed help desperately. It seemed though these these kindred brothers were not sensitive to the need for such amenities, so so it pushed and pulled alone - - sometimes moving the load slightly, and sometimes not at all - - stopping often and removing itself from the task as if it were evaluating the situation, situation, and then with a spurt of inspiration, it would return to the load. After about fifteen minutes, it had moved its precious cargo over a stem, a tiny leaf, and a blade of grass. To my surprise nono-one ever came to help… help… Finally, after studying this little little creature, I felt it had taught me a meaningful lesson. It was a scene in persistence! ! ! It did not quit in dealing with what seemed like an impossible task. I learned we are not to give up if we have a worthy cause! ! !

NEVER GIVE UP By Maxine
It reminded me of a little story story mother told me when I was a child. It seems there were two frogs that fell in a jar of cream. The one croaked loudly: I can’t get out, I can’t get out, I can’t get out and he didn’t get out and died! ! ! Pg 5
Today, I walked outside and found that yesterday’s crust of bread, which I had dropp dropped on the ground had become a flavorable feast for an an army of industrious ants. They were conspicuous in bumper to bumper 4
in the 80s his father received literature from Christian Triumph. Now he wants to continue so that he may be blessed blessed and so his faith may be increased. Nice to know this missionary ministry is passed from one generation to another!
The other frog had a different attitude: attitude: It said, I can get out, I can get out, I can get out! , and he jumped until he made butter from the cream. He then jumped on top of the butter and leapt out. Perhaps my mother thought I needed that lesson. I recognize I still do!!! The Scriptures also admonish us to persevere: Matthew 7:7, Ask, and it
BLACK BEANBEAN-andand-BROWN RICE SALAD
shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.
From Sara
Like life, salads feature many ingredients all mixed together. Do you ever ever find yourself in a reflective mood and wonder if you should have done life differently or maybe think about making a lifelifestyle change? I was having one of those moments a few weeks ago following my morning prayer time. I thought about all the time, effort, effort, and energy I have poured into church work and asked myself if what I have accomplished has made a difference or if it is just something that keeps me occupied for a while. When I was 14 years old, I chose to accept Jesus as my Savior and Lord. There have have been way too many times that I have stumbled and fallen and made poor choices and yielded to temptation and the list goes on. However, my main goal in life has always been to live how God wants me to live. He has seen me through times of rebellion and times of trial. He picks me up when I fall down and gives me a helping hand when I am in danger of stumbling. Pg 6

THANKSGIVING! BLESSINGS FROM OUR LORD! DIANA: (Christian Triumph DIANA: Secretary/Treasurer) Good news from Secretary/Treasurer): r): church on Sunday: The Christian Triumph local church had 22 kids, young adults and 34 adults. They will have a graduation in November for the Bible Institute Students. The radio station is still in full swing. Listeners are being helped helped and they are responding. We also had a baptism – not sure how many. We are very proud of a young man who started coming to church with someone he knew. He has attended every service and was able to get baptized before he moved to another city. I am glad glad he was able to grow strong in his faith, not knowing what might be in store for him in the future. WORDS FROM ARGENTINA: ARGENTINA: May God bless. I am writing to request SPANISH literature to extract true stories to pass on my radio I have every Saturday. And if possible - if you can send the Spanish quarterly magazine. Thanks! Whisk together oil and lime juice in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients, and toss mixture to coat. Cover and chill salad for 2 hours.
As I thought about my chosen lifelife-style that particular day, I asked the question, question, What if I just chuck it all and live how I want to live? It was then that I could all but hear a deep chuckle coming from the Lord as He inquired of me, Child, what

else would you do? Tears began to flow as I felt His deep acceptance of me (warts and all). all). I realized that I am living how I want to live, maybe not perfectly, but I would not trade the love of my Lord for all the soso-called pleasures that so many people chase after. I would not swap the joy of knowing He is present in my life for – momentary thrills that never last. Life goes on; through it all, there are many ingredients all mixed in together. Some are expected; others not so much. Doesn’t that sound like a salad? Sometimes the oddest combinations can make a very tasty dish. With that said, here here are some salad recipes that I found to be quite enjoyable!

A SURPRISE IN DISGUISE Another “THANK YOU, LORD!” By Anita
Our little Ford Ranger pickup makes a convenient vehicle vehicle for transportation. One day, our neighbor noticed that the tires were not in good condition. (I do most of the driving now.) With snow and ice coming, the tires needed to be in excellent shape when we could afford that. A friend borrowed the pickup for a few days, and I was concerned so warned him about their safety; he took the vehicle in for a checkcheck-up, and even the tires seemed to be ok. Yet, I felt uneasy. And then another friend needed transportation for a few days, and he received a caution from me also. also. I asked him to get an estimate for different tires. As this neighbor traveled, he did notice a problem but was going in the opposite direction of the Tire business where I had planned to make the purchase. Quickly, Quickly, he went to another tire repair service near him, and, surprisingly, he was able to replace both front tires for
