Verse of the Week: Matthew 28:6
Good Christian friends, rejoice and sing! Now is the triumph of our King! To all the world glad news we bring: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! The Lord of life is ris’n this day; Bring flow’rs of song to strew His way; Let all the world rejoice and say: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! Praise we in songs of victory That love, that life which cannot die, And sing with hearts uplifted high: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! Your name we bless, O risen Lord, And sing today with one accord The life laid down, the life restored: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! Preschool Envelope Fundraiser is going on right now! Envelopes are available on the desk in the narthex. Please take an envelope with a number of your choosing. Return the envelope with that amount of money inside any time between now and May 26. This is the preschool's only fundraiser and provides money to update the toys, furniture, and provide extending activities through in-house field trips. Thank you for your continuing support!
Mission Trip to Macedonia! Hannah Hartog is taking another trip with Habitat for Humanity – this time to Macedonia with 24 other team members to build apartment complexes in Veles. She will be there June 9-17. Hannah is covering most of the expenses herself (including her airfare and other trip costs), but she still needs $425. Any amount donated would be very much appreciated. You can either write a check to Hannah Hartog or donate the money at her fundraising page: https://share.habitat.org/hannah-hartog-gvt17703. Also, keep Hannah in your prayers as she prepares for her trip. We look forward to her sharing about it after she returns! Don’t forget to pick up the latest Portals of Prayer on the table in the narthex! These short devotions and suggested Bible readings make it easy to have daily devotions, either alone or with your family. Don’t miss this great opportunity.
There will be a Constitution Committee meeting on Tuesday, April 18 at 7 pm. Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
The Red Cross Blood Drive will be Tuesday, May 9, from 12-6pm. If you are able to give blood, this is such an important way to help others who need it so badly. Please consider doing this and encourage others as well!
Stephen Ministry Introductory Workshop Saturday, April 22nd at Woodbury Lutheran Church from 9am - 1pm Pastors want to provide care to everyone who needs it but they can't do it alone. Equipping laypeople to minister to hurting people is a highly effective and biblical way to ensure that those in need of Christ-centered care receive it. Christ at work in and through gifted, trained lay caregivers, that's the Stephen Ministry vision! Stephen Ministers are ready to come alongside you or your friends, neighbors, coworkers, or relatives and provide comfort and support for as long as needed. This workshop is a half-day event that will show how to make that vision a reality. Those who attend will gain hands-on ministry skills through a sample of Stephen Minister training, deepen your vision for care and outreach, and learn how to bring the life-changing benefits of Stephen Ministry to our congregation. There are three sessions: 1) Ministering to Those Experiencing Grief; 2) An Introduction to Stephen Ministry; 3) How to Care in a Distinctively Christian Way. This would be a wonderful ministry to begin at CLC! If you are interested in a care ministry and would like to find out more about it then consider attending this workshop. Please contact Pastor Hahn TODAY if you will be attending.

Have you noticed the beautiful PRAYER SHAWLS in the Narthex? This ministry is vital to our congregation, and our Pastors receive many thank you’s from those who receive them. The Human Care Board would like to know who has crocheted or knitted in the past, who is still making shawls, or who would like to crochet or knit these Prayer Shawls. Please contact Eileen Gregory, Joyce Swedean, Dale Vogt, or Rhoda (in the office) and let us now. Thanks to everyone who crochets and knits!
