gibson's cyber World Jumps From Page to big Screen -- Finally (newsuSa) - It has been almost 30 years since William gibson introduced the world to his debut novel "neuromancer." Since then, the book has gone on to win numerous accolades and honors, including Time Magazine's list of 100 best english-language novels since 1923. now, in what has most assuredly become a cult classic in the science fiction genre, Seven arts entertainment has optioned the book and started adapting it to the big screen -- a move that fans of the cyberpunk novel have been waiting for, for years. The problem, said Peter hoffman, ceo of Seven arts, has been finding the right people who would do this book justice. It was announced earlier that film director Vincenzo natali has signed on to direct this scifi thriller. "I think the reason that William gibson has been so supportive of me doing it is that he knows the film won't be homogenised," says natali. "There's something inherently not mainstream about it, and I want to preserve that. natali also added that "The book was prototypical; it defined a genre. even now, after it's been
pillaged by so many movies and works of fiction, it remains in my mind totally unique." hoffman shares natali's assertion. "We believe that [Vincenzo] natali has both the story telling ability and the command of the visual medium to give this film the treatment it deserves," said hoffman. "In Vincenzo's hands, we think neuromancer will realize William gibson's extraordinary vision of the future while being a big draw at the box office." The book describes a futuristic world that, at the time, seemed almost inconceivable. and yet, fast forward to present day, and aspects of the author's plot don't seem all that far-fetched. The novel tells the story of a washed-up computer hacker hired by a mysterious employer to pull off the ultimate hack.

He says “I’ve always written my thoughts in the form of poetry so ryming was easy.” In the year 2000 he formed his label Boss City Records and hase released four albums and multiple mixtapes under the label name. He has been featured on projects such as the Wreckless in Texas 2.5 mixtape hosted by Southern rap stars Trae and Paul Wall and has also been featured on songs with Da Ryno of Dirty Third Records. He has also performed on stage with the likes of Yung Joc, MIMS and Chyna White. “I produce my own tracks with my city backing me. I’m ready for anything. I also had the number 1 most requested song in San Antonio for two months on SA Urban Radio” he says. In 2006, and two albums later, PHT decided to pave his own way into the industry. While still maintaining all the bridges he had built for his career, he continued to conquer the many obstacles that had held him back and finally discovered his voice. liquid media Film industry Will Thrive With e-Distribution, according to analysts (newsuSa) - From backroom meetings in hollywood to studio lots in burbank, distribution has been the buzzword for entertainment executives. although it has been a long time coming, digital distribution -- the downloading and streaming of movies and television shows to consumers' computers, Internet-enabled televisions and mobile devices -- film executives have turned a somewhat blind eye to the phenom. and this, says Peter hoffman, ceo of Los angeles-based Seven arts Pictures, may be hollywood's biggest downfall, if not undoing. "Whether studios like it or not, consumers would now much rather stream their movies to their electronic devices than rent a DVD," said hoffman. "We have strategically positioned Seven arts entertainment, both in terms of motion pictures and musical content, to deliver entertainment directly to consumers," he added. bolstering hoffman's assessment of the industry is a report released last year by accounting giant Pwc, which remains bullish about growth in the film industry, projecting that electronic delivery of movies by various entities such as apple and netflix will grow from $4.8 billion last year to $7.6 billion in 2015.

I was thinking he was waiting for me to finish so that he could come into the area I was using and start doing sit ups. once I finished, he walked over in a staggered gate and asked, ““Mind if I use that?” (referring to the jump rope.) I said, “not at all.” I handed it to him and stepped out of his way. he tried once and did not get it. he tried again, and did not get it again. Then he said, “Man, I remember when I could do a lot of these.” I told him, “Don’t worry about how many you can do, just keep trying and take your time. Just attempting gives you a workout.” he tried one last time and ran off about 20 in a row. he took the jump rope,
“Don’t let your situation control you.” handed it back to me and said, “Thank you. I have not done any since my surgery.” While he was saying this, he reaches down, pulls up his right pants leg, and revealed a prosthetic leg from the knee down. I didn’t show it on my face, but inside I was dumbfounded. This man, older man, just jumped rope with one good leg. I started questioning myself if I would have done that given that situation. Sometimes we let our situation dictate our behavior. but, our behavior should dictate our situation. This will then affect the outcome. If he had chose to not jump rope, he would have never known he could have done it. Don’t let your situation control you. I once wrote a post called “control Your own Destiny” about taking control. not only will your attitude impact your outcome, but it will also inspire someone else (people watch even when you think they are not.)
