Center for Health & Wellbeing Community Education Programs inspire your healthiest self. With diverse topics in the categories of Wholeness, Fitness, and Medicine, our dynamic programs are open to the public – no membership required – are free or lowcost and are presented in-person or via webinar. Please note the in-person programs listed here are just a sample of our full calendar. 3 AdventHealth Baby Bunch
Mondays, Beginning April 3, 10:30 AM – Noon
The Baby Bunch breastfeeding support group offers moms the opportunity to ask questions from an IBCLC Lactation Consultant in a small group setting. Baby Bunch provides a space for moms to connect with other moms postpartum so they can discuss highs and lows of their breastfeeding journey and share any challenges that they are experiencing. This group is for moms with babies ages newborn to 12 months old. Baby Bunch is offered in person and is free to attend. RSVP recommended.

In this workshop, licensed mental health counselor Jill Hamilton Buss will share evidence-based ways to pay better attention in a fast, fragmented world, which will help reduce mental clutter and increase your ability to pay attention to the things that matter most to you. Kitchen on your way into the program.
3 Movement as Medicine Dance Class

Join us for our monthly free-flowing Exercise Your Creativity art “happy hours.” There are no rules, no specific plans to follow, and coloring outside the lines is encouraged! Experiment with art supplies from a variety of mediums and see how getting creative can improve your overall wellbeing.
3 Infant/Child CPR
Thursdays, April 6, May 4, and June 1, 6 – 7 PM
You’ve covered all the basics about caring for your baby. Now, learn how to save your baby’s life should she suddenly stop breathing, experience cardiac arrest or begin choking. This class, led by a certified instructor, will teach you how to handle these emergencies.
3 Osteoporosis Prevention
Monday, April 10, 11 AM – Noon
In this workshop led by Crosby Wellness Center’s KK Swanson, you’ll learn techniques and tools to build stronger bones and muscles to keep yourself healthy and safe. With the support of Swanson, who specializes in strength training and nutrition education, plan to be empowered to strengthen your bones through diet and exercise.

3 Dementia Caregiver Connection

When it comes to caregiving, knowledge is power. Don’t miss your opportunity to gain insight on topics every caregiver should know. This program will cover the topic of longdistance caregiving. 3 Bloodmobile

AdventHealth’s new bloodmobile will give patients greater access to donated blood products when they need it most. All donations help AdventHealth patients locally. 4 Introduction to Barre Fitness

Barre is a fitness class that is part strength training, Pilates, Ballet and Balance training. Barre classes are also a great and safe way to work out while keeping joints safe, increasing core strength and balance. No wonder people are addicted to barre! Led by Crosby Wellness Center group exercise instructor Tracy Foust, you’ll learn the basics of Barre and feel more confidence to start incorporating it in your wellbeing journey.
4 ‘80s Tone-up

Activities that make you laugh, connect you with others and get your heart beating in the process are the golden ticket to sustained healthy living. And we’ve got just the thing for you!

Have you ever wanted to sketch but you’re not sure how? This workshop will introduce you to the art of sketching and provide basic tips and techniques on how to sketch. Learn to sketch from subject to the environment and how to incorporate storytelling into your sketches. This workshop will be led by Thomas Thorspecken, a famed local artist who worked for 10 years at Walt Disney Feature Animation. Program fee: $10.

Throughout history and across numerous cultures, the Summer Solstice has been marked as a time of celebration. In Yoga, it is one of the most important periods for strengthening practices. A major study found the most stressful life event you can expect to experience is losing a spouse. But hope is available. We invite you to a day designed to empower, educate and inspire your journey through widowhood. Whether you lost a loved one last year or last decade, this is for you. This all-day event will feature a variety of speakers on topics like nutrition, how grief impacts your physical health and tips for organizing your life and home.
