ABOUT

My name is Cinzia Bongino and I love visual communication. 05.09.1994
TURIN — IT
The graphic design world is my natural habitat: just two words offers so much room for experimentation in so many fields that saves me from the monotony of an office work. I’ve been part of this universe since high school, and I have no intentions of leaving it anytime soon. As a daughter of the D.I.Y. age, I always try to hack the system and solve the problems by improving my skills: I have still a lot to learn, but I improve quickly, ready for the next challenge.

EDIT - A taste for sharing
Eat, Drink, Innovate, Together: this is the acronym of a new space dedicated to the food and drink experience in Turin. Born in the center of an area of urban regeneration, which includes parks, museums, architecture and design studios and art galleries, EDIT is an innovative concept that combines the taste of gastronomic experimentation with sharing. I had the opportunity of working with a big team of creative people in order to create the visual communication for it.

Supertorino — The enterprise city
It’s a project of communication for the city of Turin. This city offers a lot of opportunities to the startuppers: there is a strong network of entrepreneurs, small and medium business, incubators and accellerators, which together form the first hub in Italy. The work started with a long study about the city, the startup born here, localising universities, research and development centers, companies, spaces of coworking, fablab, banks and investors. The next step was finding a way to tell this innovative side of the city, promoting also the quality of the life.

BRANDING
The old logo was difficult to read, static, with a strange shape and cold colors. The new one is bold, colored with a magenta warmed by a bit of yellow and the dot of the letter I on the top of the S for sketching a dynamic figure. The name Vispo is a neologism (The village of sport) created for better comunicating the energy of doing sport.

Adieu — A book about obituaries.
40 important european artists died between 1984 and 2011 are reminded on the pages of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. My concept is the act of remembering: when we think of a person the image that we visualize is not clear and complete, but It’s composed by the details we known of he or she. That’s the reason of the transparent paper: some letters are missing and the names can be read only turning the page, also if but the transparent paper make them blurry. The book is bindend by the japanese technique, without the double page.

Refresh the page
In this three-in-one poster I tried to represent three types of changes that continuosly upset our lives: environmentals, economics and socials. Each of them happens at different speeds and it conditions in different ways our lives: the consequences, positives and negatives, define new standards, hierarcies and adaptability to complex scenarios. It's necessary being constantly updated to not be left behind. The flux of informations in real time reflects then a world in constant evolution, but it's impossible to obtain a clear vision of all.

Frames
What’s inside and what’s outside of a frame? I started with photos of architecture, focus on the part with more elements, so I have looked for frames to insert them; but I have also started to taken picture of myself. Am I looking through windows or myself? T his is not a serie, It’s a collection of pictures made during my erasmus: each one is different, but they are connected for the strange perspective or for similar elements.
