The National Board Meeting (NBM) of CISV Canada happened just last month and went super well. A new NJR was elected, her name is Georgia, and there was an election for the positions on the newly structured National JB Executive Board. Now, there will be an election process to fill in still vacant positions such as National Camp Coordinator and Social Media Specialist! Also, during NBM, a very interesting topic was discussed: indigenous engagement. This inspired CISV Canada to work on new projects such as a Letter of Reconciliation.

The brazilian NJRs have been really busy since the past infopack was published. They facilitated a few sessions in the Fórum de Capacitação Nacional (FOCA); a national event in CISV Brazil that offers different trainings. The sessions conducted by a group of facilitators from the Junior Branch were not only attended by a lot of young participants but also by adults interested in learning about JB. The NJRs also facilitated a session in the National Leaders Training regarding leadership development, educational programmes and the Junior Branch. Next is the Midway Meeting, happening on January. Other than that, the NJR Hour Project has been a total success, it has had a lot of participants and international guests.

Programme Review For this year’s CAM Workshop, Beto flew all the way to Mexico to facilitate a session regarding the Programme Review with the help of Tommaso (Governing Board member). This, after noticing in the past Americas Regional Cooperation (ARC) that said motion only had the word “Junior Branch” one time in the 40 pages of the document. For this, active members of the Junior Branch where asked how they could be considered more in the review of the international programmes of CISV that are discussed in the document. It’s results were sent to the newly elected Governing Board members. If you want to see the official document sent to the GoBo, write us an email and we’ll forward it to you! ajbteam@ijb.cisv.org
