Brighter Days are Coming Brighter days are coming, figuratively and literally. As the cold dark days of winter give way to the warmer, lighter, longer days of spring, there is a sense of hope taking hold as vaccines continue to roll out to help fight the COVID-19 global pandemic. This spring and summer seniors may be able to start to return to some normalcy in their lives. As the weather warms here are some things you can do to help brighten your mood. •

Get outside and enjoy the sunlight. This is one of the simplest but also best things your can do to improve your mood.

While outside, get some exercise by taking walks in your neighborhood or on some of Blaine’s many trails.

Make plans with friends and family to get together when it is safe to do so. Planning some activities now will give you something to look forward to and a reason to stay in touch with friends and family.

Continue to watch for news from the MAYC on when more in person programs and activities will return at the MAYC. In March we are adding computer usage appointments on Friday afternoons.

Until the MAYC can fully reopen continue to stay in touch with the staff and your friends through our Zoom programming.
