Mary Ann Young Center 9150 Central Avenue NE Blaine MN 55434
Tuesday, May 17, 11am-1pm Established in 1963, Older Americans Month recognizes the contributions of older adults across the nation. While raising families and building careers, older Americans also gave back to their communities in a variety of ways. Their time, experience, and talents enrich the lives of those around them. To celebrate those turning 80 or better, all are invited to register to attend a luncheon on May 17 featuring a menu of: beef stew w/broccoli, white rice, fresh fruit, sliced bread, and a sugar cookie. The event will feature entertainment by pianist, Nellie Spexet. Nellie has been volunteering her entertainment skills for many years and plays the piano beautifully. The cost for this event is $5 per person. Those who are age 80 or more will be eligible for door prizes drawings. Hope you can join us! There are several free virtual programs on zoom during the month of May to celebrate Older Americans Month held on Thursdays from 10-11AM that you are welcome to take advantage of.
