New Woodcarving on Display at the MAYC Made and Donated by Ken Kittelson A patriotic eagle, crafted by Ken Kittelson, will be displayed at the Mary Ann Young Center as a tribute to all veterans. Ken has been scroll cutting for the past 18-20 years. When asked how he got interested in this artwork, he responded “I saw my brother-in-law doing this type of work so I figured I could do it”. Ken has also donated other scroll cuttings for raffle prizes to the MAYC over the years, including a detailed nativity. Along with his artistic talents, Ken was a volunteer bus driver for the MAYC for at least 14 years and continues to volunteer by serving lunches. Thank you Ken for your donation and your volunteer efforts.

These and many other questions will be answered on this important topic. There will be ample question and answer time built in during the presentation. As a group, the leader will ask players one at a time to guess a letter in the puzzle. If the letter is in the puzzle, it will go on the board. The player then gets to guess one more letter. The player must then solve the puzzle or pass. If the first letter guessed is not in the puzzle, play automatically passes to the next person. at North Metro TV July 12 Family stories are some of the most important stories we have. What did Grandpa John do for a living? What country did Grandma Pat come from? Whatever happened to Great Aunt Barb? Too often, these kinds of stories get lost from generation to generation. North Metro TV and the Mary Ann Young Center are here to help. Thanks to a special partnership, local seniors can visit the NMTV studios in Blaine and record their precious family stories on video. Eric and the staff at North Metro TV will do all the work and then provide you with a special DVD of your story that you can share with your kids and grandkids. Best of all, it’s free. All you need is your stories and yourself. You can write down what you want to say, bring a family member to interview you, or just speak from the heart. 20-minute sessions are available from 3-7PM on Tuesday, July 12. Reserve your spot by contacting Eric Houston at 763231-2803 or eric@northmetrotv. com. The NMTV studios are located at 12520 Polk St NE in Blaine, just a quarter of a mile west of Highway 65 on Main Street.
