Passing the Torch
Summer is for grilling! A big thank you to all our grill masters.
A tradition at the Mary Ann Young Center is to celebrate the delightful Minnesota summer season with a pork chop dinner with all the tasty sides. To make the night even more fun, a local polka band entertained the crowd on the patio. Former longtime City of Blaine Mayor, Tom Ryan has been graciously grilling up the pork chops for the event for over 30 years.
This year the grilling torch was passed to the hard working Blaine Festival committee members who fixed up great tasting pork chops for the event. The evening brings out over 200 seniors, friends, and volunteers to enjoy the beautiful sunny summer night in the park full of great food and fantastic fellowship.
Thank you Tom for your years of service and we hope to see all of you at the event next year.
