Our 2019 Calendar
IT’S ALL ABOUT SUPERHEROES THESE DAYS!
We decided to jump on the bandwagon and highlight Boynton Beach’s very own SUPERHEROES in this year’s calendar. We asked our community to nominate individuals that have volunteered and contributed to making Boynton Beach better. Over 40 entries were received - making the decision to select only 12 very difficult. These remarkable individuals display the SUPERHERO qualities of courage, selflessness, humility, patience, and caring. They have volunteered thousands of hours to the 14 local organizations listed below. We hope you take a moment to read more about these individuals, the organizations that they support, and their positive impact on Boynton Beach by visiting Boynton-Beach.org/Heroes.

COMMISSIONER MACK MCCRAY
AT-LARGE
DISTRICT II
Superman
Captain America
Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he transformed into Superman with the purpose of defending humanity against threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way. Despite being a superhero, he was also a human, and acted in selfless and compassionate ways.
Captain America symbolizes freedom and protection. He is often seen as the nice guy - kind, honorable, and standing for everything good in America. Though he's often presented with significant dilemmas, Captain America always tries to do the right thing, even when doing so is difficult.
VICE MAYOR CHRISTINA ROMELUS
COMMISSIONER AIMEE KELLEY
DISTRICT III
DISTRICT IV
Mrs. Incredible
Wonder Woman
Mrs. Incredible is an experienced jet pilot, has a sharp wit, and impressive espionage skills making her an excellent tactician and leader. She is super in every role that she assumes. She’s a superb wife, a supernatural mom, and superior leader! And to top it all she’s a superheroine!
The princess of the Amazons, armed with powers of a god, Wonder Woman was one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace and equality. She is an ambassador for peace and diplomacy, yet well trained as a fearsome warrior. She is a symbol of beauty and grace but also tough and stoic.
COMMISSIONER JUSTIN KATZ
CITY MANAGER LORI LAVERRIERE
DISTRICT I
