Welcome
Funfare Magazine • Spring 2018
Dear Friends and Neighbors, When I joined the Recreation and Parks Department in July 2017 as the Marketing and Outreach Manager, I was thrilled to be welcomed by a team of passionate people who live our motto of We Make Life Fun! every day. It is an exciting time to live, work and play in Boynton Beach and a blessing to work alongside people who love what they do. Recreation and parks add invaluable benefits to the quality of life for our residents. There is no better time to take advantage of the diverse recreation opportunities than with the start of a new year! Have you set any personal resolutions or goals, maybe to be more active or learn a new skill? How about signing up and training for the Barrier Free 5K? Ever considered learning how to square dance? Want to pick up tennis again? I know I do! Think of us as you write down your resolutions for 2018. I’m certain you’ll find inspiration and ideas as you browse through the magazine. Our goal is to make life fun and strive to best meet the needs of our residents. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay in the know with all of our latest news and events. Have an idea for a program? See a need for a service or class we can provide? I encourage you to reach out and share any ideas or feedback you might have! I can be reached via telephone at 561742-6569 or via email at killipa@bbfl.us. Warm regards, Allison Killip Marketing and Outreach Manager
