Pokémon Fan Club

Ages: 6 – 12 yrs. Registration Required W, Jan. 4, Feb. 1, Mar. 1, & Apr. 5 5:30 p.m.

Meet other Pokémon trainers at Pokémon Club! Trading Card Game, Nintendo DS, and Pokémon Go gamers are all welcome.

Let’s Play Roblox®

Ages: 10 – 15 yrs. Registration Required M, Jan. 9, Feb. 13, Mar. 13, & Apr. 17 5:30 p.m.

Each month, participants will play a different game. Play with other Roblox enthusiasts and tackle fun challenges together. Participants will be interacting in a variety of virtual worlds using private servers on the platform. If you have never played Roblox before, you will need to have your parent/guardian set up your account before the program.

Sewing 101

Ages: 10 – 17 yrs. Registration Required Th, Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 9, & Apr. 13 4 & 5:15 p.m.

Learn how to use a sewing machine! You will learn several skills while making simple sewing projects. This program is held in the Maker Space on the second floor. Space is limited.

Lollipops & Music for Our Preschoolers (L&MOP) Concert Series

Ages: Families Registration Not Required Sat, Jan. 14, Feb. 11, Mar. 11, & Apr. 8 10 a.m.

The “L. & M. O. P.” concert series is a free educational music program offered for preschool children and their families. Children will leave each concert with a greater appreciation of music and a lollipop to enjoy! This series is sponsored by the Northeast Iowa School of Music. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Reading with Rover

Ages: 6 – 9 yrs. Registration Not Required Sat, Jan. 14, Feb. 11, Mar. 11, & Apr. 8 10:30 a.m.

Read or listen to a story with some furry friends in the first-floor program room. Do not bring your own pet; we provide kid-friendly dogs each month.

Advanced Pokémon League

Ages: 10 – 17 yrs. Registration Required W, Jan. 18, Feb. 15, Mar. 15, & Apr. 19 5:30 p.m.

Pokémon League is a way for more advanced Pokémon trainers to get together and have some fun! Using your own cards and Pokémon video games, you can learn game basics and get the feel for Pokémon competitive play before beginning to compete in Pokémon tournaments.

LEGO® Challenge

Ages: 5 – 12 yrs. Registration Not Required Sat, Jan. 21, Feb. 18, Mar. 18, & Apr. 15 10 a.m.

Calling all LEGO® fans! Come to the library to build, create, and have fun. The library provides the LEGOs®, and you provide the know-how! Donations of LEGOs® are appreciated.

Family Book Bingo

Ages: 4 – 12 yrs. Registration Not Required Sat, Jan. 21, Feb. 18, Mar. 18, & Apr. 15 2 p.m.

Grab your family and head on down to the library to try your luck at Book Bingo! We have great hardcover and paperback books for prizes.

BEAM Interactive Projector Open Play

Ages: All Ages Registration Not Required Sat, Feb. 18, Mar. 18, & Apr. 15 12 – 1:30 p.m.

Join us for open play on the new BEAM Interactive Projector! Jump, dance, skip, or race your way through the interactive video game images projected on our floor. Fun for all ages! Limited number of players at a time.

Minecraft Mania

Ages: 7 – 14 yrs. Registration Required W, Feb. 22, Mar. 22, & Apr. 12 5:30 p.m.

Whether or not you’re a Minecraft whiz, sign up for this game-playing night to test your skills and build away.
