Let’s Play Roblox®

Ages: 10 – 15 yrs. Registration Required M, Jan. 9, Feb. 13, Mar. 13, & Apr. 17 5:30 p.m.

Each month, participants will play a different game. Play with other Roblox enthusiasts and tackle fun challenges together. Participants will be interacting in a variety of virtual worlds using private servers on the platform. If you have never played Roblox before, you will need to have your parent/guardian set up your account before the program.

Sewing 101

Ages: 10 – 17 yrs. Registration Required Th, Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 9, & Apr. 13 4 & 5:15 p.m.

Learn how to use a sewing machine! You will learn several skills while making simple sewing projects. This program is held in the Maker Space on the second floor. Space is limited.

Teen Advisory Board

Ages: 13 – 18 yrs. Registration Not Required Last Tuesday of every month 4 p.m.

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a way for you to have a voice at the library, participate in programs with other teens, and help others in your community. This is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to earn volunteer credit for school. Call Haidee at (563) 589-4225, ext. 2248.

Ages: 12 – 17 yrs. Registration Not Required Jan. 1-31

Drop in the Teen Zone and color a wintry bookmark to help keep the place of a favorite book.

Geode Jewelry

Ages: 12 – 17 yrs. Registration Required M, Jan. 9 4 p.m.

Show your appreciation for rocks by creating faux agate geodes out of polymer clay and turning one-of-a-kind rock slices into stylish pendant necklaces.

DIY Mini Coffee Candles

Ages: 12 – 17 yrs. Registration Required Th, Jan. 19 4 p.m.

Calling all coffee lovers! This coffee bean candle will fill the air with the sweet aroma of freshly roasted coffee.

Drop-in Origami Lucky Stars

Ages: 12 – 17 yrs. Registration Not Required Feb. 1-28

Drop by the Teen Zone to create cute little origami stars—which represent love and good luck—from strips of colorful paper.

Pizza Mania!

Ages: 10 – 17 yrs. Registration Required F, Feb. 3 12 p.m.

School’s out today, so come to the library to celebrate all things pizza! We’ll eat pizza, learn about its history, play pizza games, and make pizza crafts to show our love for this amazing food.

Chocolate Olympics

Ages: 10 – 15 yrs. Registration Required F, Feb. 3 3 p.m.

Compete in a variety of chocolate-based challenges, including Oreo stacking, blind chocolate taste test, and more. Please note: chocolate, nuts, dairy, and gluten will be present.

Crystal Wrapping

Ages: 12 – 17 yrs. Registration Required Th, Feb. 16 4 p.m.

Create something amazing out of the ordinary. Learn easy techniques of wire wrapping stones without holes to make a trendy necklace.

Manga Madness

Ages: 12 – 17 yrs. Registration Not Required March 1-31

The Teen Zone manga collection will duke it out to see which is the best of the best! Drop in the Teen Zone each week to vote on favorite titles and see which titles advance.

Super Mario Day

Ages: 10 – 17 yrs. Registration Required F, Mar. 17 1 p.m.

Let’s-a go to the library to celebrate everyone’s favorite adventurous plumber and his friends. Explore fun activities and crafts to get hyped up before the new movie comes out!

Drop-in Decorative Flowers

Ages: 12 – 17 yrs. Registration Not Required April 1 – 30

Spring is in the air, decorate a paper cutout flower to prepare the Teen Zone for spring or take it home to brighten up any room.

Embroidered Canvas Line Art

Craft a minimalistic yet unique work of art using acrylic paint and embroidery thread. The perfect decor for your room or any space.
