BOWIE AND YORK WATERLINE REPLACEMENT
Forney City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with Freeman-Millican, Inc., to provide consulting and design services for the Bowie and York Street waterline replacement project. This project involves replacing the waterlines along Bowie Street between Lovers Lane and Pinson Road and York Street from Brazos to Redbud.
PARKS MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY INPUT MEETINGS
The Forney Parks and Recreation Department invites you to play a role in influencing the future of our parks! Our city is in the process of creating a new master plan to steer improvements and enhancements for our cherished parks. We welcome all residents to participate in our community input meetings. You can share your ideas by attending the meetings scheduled for September 30th at Forney Community Park (241 S Fm 548, Forney) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Downtown Forney (at Brews on Bois D’Arc) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR
During the City Manager’s Report, City Manager Charles Daniels introduced the city’s new I.T. Director, Andrew Rowland. Andrew has over 15 years of experience in Information Technology, including extensive experience working for public and private agencies. We look forward to his contributions to the City of Forney!
BREWS ON BOIS D’ ARC
On September 30th, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the city is hosting Brews on Bois D’ Arc in Downtown Forney. This FREE event will have approximately 20 local craft breweries, food trucks, and live music featuring Micky and the Motorcars. More information is available at forneytx.gov/BrewsOnBoisDArc
