Both visual and literary artists were invited to participate in this exciting exhibit. Each visual work will inspire an accompanying literary work creating a unique exhibit experience.
Virtual Art-Day Wednesdays One Wednesday a month, join the Suffolk Art Gallery for a virtual workshop where we explore different art techniques and mediums. All virtual workshops will be published at 10:00 AM on our social media, and will include a materials list, as well as an instructional video.

Annual Photography Exhibit Call for Entries Dates: November 5 - January 21 Registration Deadline: January 21 Ages: 18+ Cost: $30 Location: Suffolk Art Gallery Be a part of our 38th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit! Open to all professional and amateur photographers. All styles of photography in which traditional and digital processes were integral to the creation of the work will be accepted. Photography must be originals executed and altered by the photographer only. Registrations must include a completed entry form, payment, and submission of digital works. Email areavis@suffolkva.us if you have not received a form. Entry fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibit. The exhibit will run from March 5th through April 15th, 2022. Applicants will be notified of jurors’ decision by February 4th.
Poetry, Prose & Pizza: Date: November 4 Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Ages: All Cost: Free Location: Suffolk Art Gallery Join the Suffolk Art Gallery, the Suffolk Art League, and host Nathan Richardson for this Open Mic event. Poets, writers, musicians, spoken word, and more are welcome. Present your own original works, or favorites by others. Registration is available beginning at 6:00PM at the Gallery before the event.

Winter Exhibit Elizabeth River Artists Exhibit Dates: December 9 - January 21 Opening Reception: December 9, from 4:00 - 6:30 PM Ages: All Cost: Free Location: Suffolk Art Gallery Join us at the Suffolk Art Gallery in December for an exhibit from the Elizabeth River Artists. The group meets each Tuesday at the Gallery to paint and socialize while serving the community through yearly lectures and workshops, as well as providing scholarships for aspiring artists.
