Animaniacs: In Concert stars the show’s original Emmy-Winning composer, Randy Rogel, on piano and the voice-talents of Emmy winner Rob Paulsen (Yakko & Pinky on Animaniacs; Raphael on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

Animaniacs remains as topical and relevant today as it was when the TV series debuted in the early 1990’s. With new episodes currently streaming on HULU, Animaniacs is a multigenerational animated favorite with universally-recognized hit songs. Groundhog Day: The Musical

JANUARY 31 THROUGH FEBRUARY 16 AT MATINEES & EVENING SHOWS

Phil Connors, an experienced weatherman from a big city, is less than thrilled about reporting the annual Groundhog Day event in Punxsutawney, PA, a quaint small town. His haughty and skeptical demeanor clashes with the local residents’ enthusiasm, who eagerly anticipate the groundhog predicting an early spring. Following his scornful report on the groundhog’s unfavorable forecast, Phil is shocked to wake up and realize it’s February 2nd again. As he comes to terms with his predicament of experiencing the same day repeatedly, he faces a choice… Will Phil resign himself to this endless loop, or will he muster the strength to transform himself and alter his destiny?

What makes this production even more special? This captivating performance will be staged in Woodstock, IL, the actual filming location for the movie “Groundhog Day,” at the Woodstock Opera House, famously depicted as the Pennsylvania Hotel in the film!

From early folk to folkrock, to jazz and pop music, Joni Mitchell continually evolved and pushed the envelope, defying critics and fans, who wanted her to stay the lithe and lovely, gentle folk faerie that they fell in love with in the 60’s.

Throughout the show, Lauren and her pianist/narrator Andrew Powers tell the stories behind songs, stringing together the story of Joni’s life, through her music. Songs include: “Both Sides Now,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” “Chelsea Morning,” “Woodstock,” “The Circle Game,” “A Case Of You,” “Free Man in Paris,” “Hejira,” “Night Ride Home,” and “Turbulent Indigo.”

Some events may not be suitable for young audiences. If there is a question as to whether a particular event is appropriate for young children, call the Box Office for information. Tickets are required for all attendees.

ACCESSIBILITY

The front entry has ramp access and the lobby has an elevator that goes to the main-floor of the theater. Accessible restrooms are located on both the lobby and main-floor auditorium levels.

The stage and dressing rooms are accessible via the stage freight/passenger elevator located inside the Stage Doors at the rear of the theater.

Please note that the balcony of the Opera House is accessible by stairs only.

LISTENING DEVICES

Assisted Listening Devices will be available for the hearing-impaired by the end of 2024. This system will broadcast to any smartphone with the free app or via an IR receiver belt pack. The system will broadcast to a guest WIFI network. Patrons should bring their own headphones.
