Entertainment time By Alex Krutchik Putting together an unforgettable event for a couple and their family and friends can be overwhelming. When it comes to entertainment, such as bringing in a DJ, band or a late night snack, it’s important to identify vendors who can be flexible with what the family is seeking and through the night as the event progresses, music requests come in and guests get hungry again. Cleveland Music Group in Valley View, The Event Stop in Beachwood and Trikeable Treats in Lakewood all have their own unique ways of contributing to the special occasions.
When booking a DJ with technology today, there should be zero opportunity to stump a DJ. Because of the onset of iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify, every song should be accessible for a DJ, or even for a band leader to play it as a pre-recorded track. For weddings, we’re either part of a bridal shower, part of the happy hour, the dessert or we’re finding ourselves now being the late night snack before everybody leaves. Maybe instead of having a taco before they go home off the dance floor, they’re having an ice cream. So we’re super flexible, and no two events are the same. I would always start with getting your guest count in order so that way you know what size venue you need to go with. Oftentimes, people start with the venue and then they get their RSVPs and sometimes potentially have to change or go with another option, because maybe their guest count exceeded the capacity for that venue.
