1. Paint a mini pine cone using dark green paint. Allow to dry.
2. Use a glue gun to attach the bottom of the pine cone to the centre of a branch offcut. You may need to use generous amounts of glue to ensure the pine cone stays upright. Hold in place and allow to dry.
3. Coat the offcut base with gloss finish. Allow to dry.
4. Use a glue gun to attach small pom poms to the tips of the pine cone. Space out the pom poms so your tree is evenly decorated. Allow to dry.
5. Apply some glue to the top of your pine cone and attach two glitter star stickers, back to back. Ensure the stars are aligned. The glue will help the stickers adhere to the top of the tree. Allow to dry.
6. Cut a red tinsel chenille stem in half. Wrap the chenille stem piece around the base of the tree to cover the glue. Your Mini Pine Cone Tree is now ready to display!

Ribbon Tree Materials:
GLUE GUN
• Satin Ribbon – 25 Metres – Set of 3 Colours – 12727 • CleverPatch™ Glue Gun Starter Set – 12505 • Wooden Skewers – Pack of 100 – 10014 • CleverPatch™ Air Dry Modelling Clay – Terracotta 1kg Pack – 18636 • Wooden Rolling Pins – Pack of 4 – 16599
• Foam Glitter Star Stickers – Gold & Silver Pack of 168 – 20245 • Chenille Stems – Bright – Pack of 100 – 10825 • Cardboard – White – A4 – Pack of 100 – 16288 • Clear Sticky Tape – 18mm x 66m – 17769 • Other materials required: Scissors, ruler and template (page 13).
1. Make a ball using 60g of air dry clay. Using a rolling pin, flatten the ball so that it is 1cm thick and 4cm in diameter. Use a skewer to poke a hole through the centre. Set aside to dry. This will be your tree’s base.
2. Print the template on page 13 onto cardboard. Cut out the shape and roll it into a cone. Tape the edges together to hold in place.
3. To make quick and easy ribbon pieces, cut each colour of ribbon into 6m lengths. Fold one length in half 6 times. Cut through all the loops to make 10cm lengths. Repeat for the other 2 coloured lengths.
4. Join the ends of each ribbon piece together to create a loop and secure using a glue gun. Allow to dry.
5. Decide the order you’d like your colours to appear on your tree. We have chosen to start with green. Use a glue gun to secure the ribbon loops to the bottom of the cardboard cone. Continue adding each ribbon loop in a row around the bottom of the cone.
6. Add your next colour above the previous row and attach using a glue gun. Continue adding each of the ribbon loops in a row around the cone.
7. Repeat this process to add your next colour above the previous row.
8. Continue adding the ribbon loops around the cone in the same way, until you reach the top of the cone. Leave a small gap to ensure you can see the tip of the cone. Allow to dry.
9. Insert a wooden skewer into your clay base, so the pointy end is facing up. Use a glue gun to secure in place. Allow to dry.
