Head into space like Una with your very own Astronaut Jet Pack and Helmet!

1. Find two clean recycled bottles that are the same size. Ours measure 31cm tall. Paint the bottles using Silver CleverPatch™ Acrylic Paint. Allow to dry.

2. Take a piece each of red, orange and yellow tissue paper. Cut a zig-zag edge along each sheet. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Make the yellow tissue paper the shortest and the orange tissue paper the tallest. Repeat a second time so you have 2 of each colour. These will be used to make the flames on your Jet Pack.

3. Wrap the orange tissue paper at the end of your recycled bottle and use sticky tape to hold in place. Wrap the red on top of the orange and then the yellow last. Use sticky tape to hold it all in place. Repeat this step on the second bottle with the remaining tissue paper.

4. Use duct tape over the end of each bottle to cover where the tissue paper joins. Tape the two bottles together to assemble the Jet Pack as shown above.

5. Cut 2 pieces of ribbon that measure at least 1m long each. Attach 1 piece of ribbon to each of the bottles using duct tape as shown. Place the Jet Pack against your back and wrap the ribbon around your arms and tie at the front to secure.
