Repeat this step for each ornament. © CleverPatch 2020 - www.cleverpatch.com.au

‘He Is Risen’ Embroidery Materials:

• Mini Embroidery Hoop with Fabric 18930 • Sewing Needles – Sharp Pack of 6 – 17870 • Embroidery Thread Set of 11 Colours – 13732

A lovely Easter gift for friends and family!

• Satin Ribbon – Purple – 25 Metres 17525 • Other materials required: Scissors and a pencil

Younger children may wish to create a simpler design.

1. Use a pencil to sketch your design onto the fabric of the embroidery hoop.

2. Choose your first colour of embroidery thread. Thread a sharp needle onto one end and tie a knot in the other. Use a back stitch to begin sewing over your design.

3. Continue embroidering until the first section is complete.

4. Tie off at the back of the fabric and trim any excess thread. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.

5. Choose another colour and begin on the next section. To make any lines thicker, embroider a second row next to the first.

6. Continue with your design, tying off at the back and starting with more thread and colours as needed.

7. Cut a length of ribbon and tie a bow. Cut another length of ribbon approximately 30cm long to make a hanger.

8. Position the bow at the top of the hoop. Loop the other piece of ribbon through the hole and use it to tie the bow onto the screw. Knot the 2 loose ends together and your embroidery is now ready to hang!
