Click here for a step by step guide on how to sew a running stitch!
1. Print and cut out the BLM template provided on page 7. Use the front template and cut out a piece of white felt. Use the back template on a coloured piece of felt and cut out. We have chosen to use pink felt for our Bunny Egg Topper! You can use any colour. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
2. Layer the white piece of felt over the pink piece, making sure you can see both ears and so the face and body are aligned. Thread embroidery thread onto a sewing needle and do a running stitch around the edge of the bunny. Adult supervision is recommended when using a sewing needle.
3. Tie each end of the embroidery thread into a knot at the back of the bunny and trim any excess thread. Use black thread to sew on an eye by threading it through the felt in the same area three times, then tie a knot at the back and trim excess thread.
4. Use tacky glue to attach a pom pom tail to your bunny. Allow to dry. Your Bunny Egg Topper is now ready to use! You can even use your Topper after Easter to keep your boiled eggs warm!
