This quick & easy craft is a great Halloween activity!

1. Print the templates provided on pages 8 and 9. Cut out the templates and trace them onto the correct colour felt sheets (instructions on templates). Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.

2. Use brown embroidery thread to stitch the brown centre of the ear pieces onto the black felt mask. Stitch the brown eye pieces on so they are aligned with the cutouts on the black felt. Tie the ends in a knot at the back and trim any excess thread. Adult supervision is recommended when using a sewing needle.

3. Align the brown felt nose piece with the bottom of the mask and stitch it on. Place the black nose piece on top of the brown nose piece and use a cross stitch to create nostrils and hold the black felt in place. Tie the ends in a knot at the back and trim any excess thread.

4. Use CleverPatch™ Tacky Glue to glue the white felt teeth to the back of the mask. Allow to dry.

5. Using the needle, thread white elastic through the black felt at the back of the mask behind the brown eye pieces so you can not see it on the front. Tie the ends in a knot and trim off any excess elastic.

6. Your Bat mask is now ready to be worn on Halloween!

1. Turn the pine cone on its side and wrap a chenille stem between the scales closest to the base of the cone. Cross the ends of the chenille stems over as shown in the image above.

2. Place a bend in both sides of the chenille stem to create the first set of legs, as shown in the image above.

3. For the next three chenille stems, bend them in half and wrap them between the scales from the top down, then bend up to create more legs.

4. Once you have all eight legs, bend them so they hold the pine cone up to look like it is standing. Trim any excess chenille stem if some of the legs are too long. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.

Halloween Wreath Materials: • Embroidery Frame – 20cm – 18398 • Crepe Streamer – Orange – 24 Metres – 10956 • Chenille Stems – Black – Pack of 100 – 18738 • Wiggle Eyes – Black Assortment Tub of 560 – 10814 • CleverPatch™ Glue Dots – Permanent Pack of 300 – 15173 • Metallic Yarn – Dark Green – 20g – 10239 • Rainbow Cover Paper – Light Green – A4 Pack of 100 – 18163 • Other Materials Required: Template (page 10), scissors & pen

Let the trick or treaters know that you’re ready for Halloween with this spook-tacular wreath!

1. Take the inner ring out of the embroidery frame. This will be used to create a spiders web. Wrap chenille stems across the ring and then use these to weave more chenille stems around the circle. When complete, place the inner ring back into the outer frame and tighten.

2. Cut pieces of crepe streamer and begin to wrap around the outside of the frame. Use glue dots to hold in place if necessary. Wrap around the frame until it is completely covered.

3. Cut shorter pieces of chenille stem and wrap around the outside ring, twisting the ends to hold in place. Continue all the way around the outside of the frame.

4. Use glue dots to attach a variety of wiggle eyes to the frame. Place different sized eyes in different positions as you go until you are happy with your design. You can use as many or little as you like.

5. Cut out bunting pieces from green cover paper, using the template on page 10. Fold each piece in half and use a pen to write ‘Happy Halloween’ across the pieces. Hang them over 2 pieces of metallic yarn and attach using glue dots, then string the yarn across the frame as shown.

6. Finish your wreath by creating a hanger using a chenille stem. Your creepy Halloween Wreath is now ready to hang on the door for the trick or treaters!

These Creepy Candles are super spooky and great for Halloween!

1. Print the template on page 11 and cut out the pieces. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Glue one of the faces onto a cardboard roll.

2. Use a hobby knife and carefully cut out the template and cardboard roll. Adult supervision is recommended when using a hobby knife.

3. Paint the inside of the cardboard roll directly behind the cut out face using orange CleverPatch™ acrylic paint. Allow to dry.

4. Use two pieces of masking tape around 10cm long and create an ‘x’ in the top of the cardboard roll approximately 2cm into the roll. This is how your LED tealight will sit in the top.

5. Use a glue gun to create ‘wax drips’ down from the top of the cardboard roll. Make each drip a different length to create the effect of a melted candle. Allow to dry.

6. Paint the outside of the cardboard roll and the top of the candle black, using CleverPatch™ acrylic paint. Allow to dry.

7. Using gold CleverPatch™ acrylic paint, gently smudge the paint onto the cardboard roll and glue. Allow to dry.

8. Turn the LED tealight on and place into the top of the cardboard roll. Your creepy candle is now ready to put on display!

1. Print out the templates provided on A3 cover paper. Use a hobby knife to cut out the rectangle from the first template and discard the centre rectangle, keeping the frame. Cut out the solid black letters and image on the second template. Do not cut around the dotted lines. Adult supervision is recommended when using a hobby knife.

• Other materials required: Templates (page 12 & 13) & scrap paper

Use the templates provided or create your own Halloween design!

2. On the bottom of the silk screen, place masking tape around the outside to stop any paint from bleeding onto the bag. Place a piece of A3 scrap cardboard inside the cotton bag to stop the fabric paint from seeping through to the other side.

3. Place the first template (page 12) in the centre of the cotton bag and the silk screen on top. Use a teaspoon to add orange fabric paint to the top of the screen.

4. Use a squeegee and firmly push the fabric paint down the screen. Scrape any excess paint off the squeegee back onto the screen and repeat until the area is fully covered in paint.

5. Once finished, scrape any excess paint back into the container and starting at one corner gently peel off the screen. Pull off the entire stencil and clean the screen and squeegee. Allow to dry completely.

6. Place the second template (page 13) onto the cotton bag and the silk screen on top. Apply black fabric paint to the screen and repeat the same method as shown in steps 3 to 5.

7. Starting at one corner peel off the screen. Then pull off the entire stencil and clean the screen and squeegee. Allow to dry. Heat set with an iron or tumble dry to make your bag colour fast. Your bag is now ready for trick or treating!
