Aργκουτσιάρια: Στην Κλεισούρα Καστοριάς, ανήμερα της Πρωτοχρονιάς, μεταμφιεσμένοι άνδρες περιφέρονται χορεύοντας στους κεντρικούς δρόμους και τις πλατείες του οικισμού.

Ραγκουτσάρια: Στην Καστοριά, από τις 6-8 Ιανουαρίου, λαμβάνει χώρα η πρώτη αποκριάτικη γιορτή του χρόνου, σε ένα τριήμερο καρναβαλικών εκδηλώσεων.

Argoutsaria: In Kleisoura at Kastoria, on New Year’s Day, men in disguise roam around dancing in the main streets and squares of the settlement.

Ragoutsaria: In Kastoria, from January 6-8, takes place the first Carnival celebration of the year, during a three-day carnival event.

The Haskaris Custom: In Kastoria and in villages around it, during the Carnival season and after the celebratory dinner, people play the Haskaris: they try to catch with their mouth a boiled egg hung by the edge of a thread by the oldest person in the house.

Το Έθιμο της Ροδάνης: Πρόκειται για έθιμο που λαμβάνει χώρα το Πάσχα και αφορά σε μία ξύλινη κούνια-ρόδα που συγκεντρώνει πλήθος κόσμου.

Εμποροπανήγυρη: Κάθε Μεγάλη Πέμπτη λαμβάνει χώρα η παραδοσιακή Εμποροπανήγυρη ή «Νυφοπάζαρο» όπως την αποκαλούσαν οι παλιοί Καστοριανοί.

Έθιμο της Πάλης: Αναβιώνει ανήμερα της Ζωοδόχου Πηγής στο χωριό Πτεριά και συνοδεύεται από αβγομαχίες και ποντιακά γλέντια μπροστά στην εκκλησία.

The Rodani Custom: Τhis custom takes place during Easter and has to do with a wooden cradle that gathers a large number of people.

Trade Fair: Τhe traditional Trade Fair or “Bridal Market” as the old Kastorians use it takes place every great Thursday.

Wrestling Custom: Τhis custom is revived on the day of celebrating Zoodochos Pigi in the village of Pteria and it is accompanied by egg fights and Pontiac feasts in front of the church.

Lazarines: Οn the Saturday celebrating the resurrection of Lazarus, the Lazarines, dressed in wedding dresses, roam the streets of Korisos in Kastoria, singing about the Resurrection of the Dead.

Θρησκευτική Εμποροπανήγυρη: Tριήμερη εκδήλωση για τη γιορτή της

Αναλήψεως του Σωτήρος στο Δισπηλιό.

Μπουμπούνες: Πρόκειται για πυρολατρικό έθιμο, στο οποίο οι παριστάμενοι ανάβουν φωτιές στις πλατείες την Κυριακή της αποκριάς.

Έθιμο του Κλήδονα: Την παραμονή του Αϊ-Γιάννη οι ανύπαντρες κοπέλες μαζεύονται στα σπίτια και μία από αυτές πρέπει να φέρει το αμίλητο νερό, το οποίο θα μαρτυρήσει τον άντρα που θα παντρευτεί η καθεμιά.

Γιορτή Ψαριού: Λαμβάνει χώρα στο Απόζαρι τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες και περιλαμβάνει φυσιολατρικές και ιστορικές περιηγήσεις, διαγωνισμούς ψαρέματος και λεμβοδρομίες.

Religious Trade Fair: A three-day event celebrating the Ascension of the Savior in Dispilio.

Boubounes: This is a fire-related custom, in which the participants light bonfires in the squares on the last Sunday of the Carnival season.

Custom of Klidon: On the eve of St. John’s celebration, the unmarried girls gather in the houses and one of them must bring the so-called unspoken water, which will reveal the man that each girl will marry.

Fish Festival: This festival is organized at Apozari during the summer months and it includes nature and historical tours, fishing competitions and boat races.

Μπουμπούνες (φωτιές), ένα πυρολατρικό έθιμο που αναβιώνει στις πλατείες την Κυριακή της Αποκριάς. Boubounes (bonfires), a fire-related custom that revives in the squares every last Sunday of Carnival.

Γιορτή φασολιού: Στα χωριά Μελισσότοπος και Λακκώματα, κάθε καλοκαίρι, οι επισκέπτες μπορούν να απολαύσουν εκλεκτές παραδοσιακές συνταγές με φασόλια της περιοχής.

Γιορτή μήλου: Στο χωριό Πολυκάρπη, κάθε καλοκαίρι, η γιορτή σηματοδοτεί την έναρξη της συγκομιδής των μήλων στην περιοχή και συνοδεύεται από πλούσιο πρόγραμμα εκδηλώσεων.

Εκδηλώσεις Προς τιμήν του ήρωα του Μακεδονικού Αγώνα Παύλου Μελά στο χωριό Μελάς, το δεύτερο δεκαπενθήμερο του Οκτωβρίου.

Απελευθέρωση της Καστοριάς (Αργία): Στις 11/11

1. Τα αλιεύματα που δίνει απλόχερα η λίμνη Ορεστιάδα έχουν την τιμητική τους στη Γιορτή Ψαριού.

2., 3. Κάθε Δεκέμβρη το τσίπουρο ρέει άφθονο από τα ρακοκάζανα του χωριού Λιθιά.

4. Παραδοσιακή φασολάδα στη Γιορτή Φασολιού.

1. Fish generously given by Orestiada Lake have the leading role in the Fish Festival.

2., 3. Tsipouro is flowing abudantly every December from the distilleries (rakokazana) of the Lithia village.

4. Traditional bean soup at the Bean Festival.

Bean Festival: Each summer in the villages of Melissotopos and Lakkomata, visitors can enjoy fine traditional recipes made from local beans.

Apple festival: In the village of Polykarpi, every summer, the festival marks the beginning of the apple harvest in the area and it is accompanied by a rich program of events.

Festivities: In honor of the hero of the Macedonian Struggle Pavlos Melas in the village of Melas, during the second half of October.

Liberation of Kastoria (Holiday): The end of 528 years of submission to the Turks is celebrated on the 11th of November.

Tsipouro Festival: Each December, abundant tsipouro flows from the raki barrels of the village of Lithia, accompanied by music and fine delicacies.
