But sometimes we neglect other body parts such us our joints, the human body is comprised of 360 joints, mulfunction in any of these,even the smallest part can result in daily discomfort. Joints get a beating from our everyday movements especially if we indulge in physical activities. Most of us for sure have had gone thru light or severe joint pains caused by different things such as arthritis, rheumatism, ostheoathritis or from past injuries. Remember that feeling pain is our body's message of saying that it needs help. And the

easiest way to remedy the pain is to grab a pill to ease the pain, but what we should really do is know the root cause of the pain. Because many forms of joint pain came from overuse, abuse or injury our body can heal on it's own but for other reasons chronic pain might be a sign of lack of rest which hinders the recovery of an inflamed joint.

Here are to ease and control joint pains
1. Ice therapy (cryotherapy) Cold temperatures reduce blood flow, and therefore reduce tissue swelling. The first time you experience pain, apply an ice pack on the affected area every hour for the majority of the day for a duration of 15 minutes. The next day, apply the ice only four or five times, still for 15 minutes. This process is vital for joint pain relief. Remember, to avoid ice burns, do not place the ice directly on the skin, and instead wrap it in a towel or washcloth.
4. Medications Certain medicines, such as ibuprofen, are great for joint pain relief. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs will aid in relieving joint swelling and stiffness, and prescribed muscle relaxants can help in reducing muscle spasms.

M
y adventure in Belgium didn’t start on a right note. I flew from Copenhagen and had a mini-argument with the check-in officer. As I arrived in Brussels, I found out later that my baggage was left behind. The weather was perfect and I did not allow these misfortunes to ruin our mood. The airline staff promised that my baggage will be delivered to the hotel where I am staying. Belgium is known for its waffles, beers and chocolates. Those three were my energizers throughout the trip. I should have checked my sugar in-take for that particular day. Again, I must say the day was perfect. It was warm, everyone’s donning summer clothes and is out of their houses. Perhaps the sun rarely visits Brussels. One of the popular attractions in the city is the Manneken Pis.

Normally the statue is naked but during my visit, it was fully clothed. There was some sort of ceremony / tradition that required the statue to be covered. This small piece of sculpture is like magnet attracting both foreigners and locals.
But my favorite place would be the Atomium, with its name inspired to chemistry, it would be so wrong not to pick this spot. This is one amazing piece of work. Slightly off-topic, I recently saw The Amazing Race season 19 and this is the pit stop where my favorite team was eliminated. Brussels is not that big. One day is enough to go from one place to another. There are lots of architectures but I cannot remember the names anymore. Staying at the heart of the city at
night is a bonus treat. One can fully appreciate the grandness of these buildings. The next day, I went to Brugge. Everyone claimed it to be Venice of the North but I haven’t been to Venice yet. So I'll let you decide by looking at these pictures whether it is indeed like Venice. It may be a short trip, but I think I did enough to explore the country. Or kindly advise if I have missed some places and need to go back to this country again. Just send me a plane ticket.

Our cover girl Deziree was born in 1996. Let that sink in. Kurt Cobain is just a story to her, born on the year the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” first number 1 hit. Now that we’ve got some perspective, enjoy Deziree’s first magazine modeling debut exclusively with Club Filipina magazine. Tell us were you born here in Japan? No, I was born in the Philippines and just moved to Japan 4 years ago, to be with my mom and continue my studies here. So how is it like to study in a Japanese school? Well it was very hard at first and there were a lot of adjustments, luckily for me I was enrolled in an International School here so it really wasn’t Japanese only which would have made it more difficult for me. Was it your dream to be a model ever since? I think it’s every girl wants to be a model, but I never really gave it thought until i got a lot of photographers asking if they could take my photos. If I remember correctly I got test shoot offers when I arrived here and I was only 14 then. Now that you graduated from school, are you going to pursue modeling full time? If the opportunity comes why not! I am now managing a Philippine Club/Restaurant in Koiwa so Im pretty busy at the moment but if something big like this Club Filipina cover feature comes up am all up for it.

皆さんは日本に住む外国人も日本人と同じように所得税と住民税の還付申請ができるという話をご存知ですか？ 日本で働き日本の所得税と住民税を納めていて母国の家族や親戚に援助を行っていれば、一定の条件のもとその行為が 「扶養」 と認められ、税法上の優遇すなわち 「扶養控除」 の適用を 受けることができるのです。最長で所得税・住民税それぞれ5年分の納め過ぎた税金が還付されるということです。 では実際どのくらいの税金が還付されるのでしょうか？還付される金額はあくまで支払った税金の範囲内で、 それ以上になることはありません。 しかしこれまで支払った税金の合計は意 外と多額で還付予想額を算出すると皆さん非常に驚かれます。 この制度適用は外国人のみならず、外国人を配偶者（フィリピン人等） にもつ日本人も配偶者の家族を扶養していれば適用されます。外国人と結婚した時点で配偶者の母国に住む配偶 者の家族・親族も法的な 「家族」 となるのです。 もちろん経済的な援助をすることで 「扶養」 となるわけですから、 これを証明することが必要となります。 還付申請を行う上で重要な注意点がありますので説明いたします。 ＊日本人が申請する場合、扶養親族と認められるのは外国人配偶者の3親等以内の親族。 外国人が申請する場合、 自分自身の6親等以内。 ＊ 「扶養」 とは扶養親族に経済的に援助（金銭・物品） していること。 またそのことを証明する書類を提出できること。 一般的な質問事項＜＜Q & A＞＞ Q: どれくらい還付されるの？ A: 還付金は、 申告者により異なります 還付の可能性と還付概算額等は、 申請時に個々の書類を確認後に判明します。 Q: 還付されるまでの期間はどれくらい？ A: 還付金額同様申告者の扶養状況により異なります。 最短で約２~３カ月、最長で約１年から１年半程かかる方も中にはいます。 Q: 手数料はどの位？ A: 申告者により異なりますが、基本的には還付金額に対しての２０～２５％ （グループ割引、 リピーター割引あり） Q: ビザを持っていませんが、 申告は可能？ A: 超過滞在者（オーバーステイ） でも申告は可能ですが、 申告には必ず外国人登録されていることが必須となります。
