He co-founded, help build and eventually sold a well-respected marketing agency. He's also worked personally with over 1,000 clients in his 25-plus years as a coach.

He's personally supervised many, many coaches to develop a lucrative, fun and fulfilling career.

And one of my favorites, he's the son of 2 therapists and a family of now almost 20 psychologists social workers, and I love how he says that although you may not want to go to his family reunion, there's no denying that the helping profession is in his blood. My son has two parents as therapists, too, so poor guy.

First question I want to ask you, we're talking about content obviously and you have a lot of experience helping coaches. What's your own favorite content marketing strategy?

It's funny, because I'm guilty of not distributing my content far and wide in the way that it should be.

I learned early on to try to pick one way of getting traffic and one way of converting it, and so I think of content as a conversion medium. It's like the next best thing to sitting down in the living room with a loving uncle, who says, "Oh, so you've got this problem? Well, this is what I think you should do about it." And you get to know them and really get the feel about them.

And so I use content primarily as a way to recycle paid traffic, by which I mean I capture peoples' emails and then I deliver valuable, informative, problem-solving content until they buy or die. That's what I do.
