Hello. Welcome back to The Coachzing Show. The show that helps you, coaches, therapists, speakers, and authors work less, earn more, and help more people, through creative content marketing. And we’re going to be talking today to Kate Steinbacher, who many of you may know, or have heard of, especially those of you that are coaches and have heard of Coaches Counsel, and she is the co-founder of Coaches Counsel. And I actually know for myself, when I’ve worked with coaches, I’ve used Coaches Counsel. It’s been very, very helpful. So we’re going to be talking, of course, about content and how to use it. I’ll just say a little bit about Kate and bring her right on. So she is the consummate entrepreneur and collaborator, an agent for fun and change, as well as business coach, speaker and prolific writer of self development articles. She has been a corporate HR manager for a Fortune 100 company, as well as cruise director onboard luxurious cruise ships, where she managed business teams and acted as a speaker and MC for American International groups. Since 2001, she’s been an active business and personal coach. She has owned, operated, and marketed four small, successful businesses. Currently she is principal in The Coaching Advantage, 13 years, and co-founder of the Coaches Console, along with her business partner, Melinda Cohen.

So to start with, I want to hear more about the luxury cruise ship. That sounds like a lot of fun.

Kate:

It was very fun.

Doug:

But you’ve obviously worked in, not only for Coaches Console, but obviously as I've said, you’ve owned, operated, and marketed four successful small businesses. I’m curious about, if you can share with our listeners, what you’re favorite content marketing strategies are.

Well, I would say, first of all, that when you’re marketing and you’re connecting with people, that to me, it’s got to be fun. It’s got to be something that’s enjoyable for people to connect with you. And it has to be something that helps them make a change in their life or make a change in their business that’s worthwhile. So in other words, something that answers their pain. But if you can do it in a fun way, it makes all the difference in the world. In other words, not only do you get to laugh at yourself, but you get to laugh at each other from the mistakes that you make. The way you might be thinking about things. That’s one of the biggest areas for me.

Doug:

Thank you so much for sharing that. I think that’s really important. I’m curious if you can give some examples of that. Anything come to mind in terms of things that particularly jump out for you of content that was really fun?
