結末のない物語：
映画『怪談』 夏休みに怖い映画を見たいですか？みなさんにおすすめの映画を一つご紹介 します。それは1965年公開の『怪談（かいだん）』 という映画です。 その名のとおり、恐くて、不思議な物語です。 これは小林正樹（こばやし まさき） 監督が15番目に作った映画で、原作は小泉八雲（こいずみ やくも）の『怪談』 とい う怪奇文学作品集です。出演者の仲代 達矢（なかだい たつや）は、他にも小林監 督の11作品や、黒澤明監督の5作品に出演しています。 『怪談』は、 「黒髪（くろかみ）」 （主演：新珠三千代、三國連太郎）、 「雪女（ゆきお んな）」 （主演：仲代達也、岸恵子）、 「耳無芳一（みみなしほういち）の話」 （主演：中 村嘉葎雄）、 「茶碗の中（ちゃわんのなか）」 （主演：中村翫右衛門） という四つの物 語でできています。 それぞれの物語の主題は、超自然的、不可思議なことで、それらを神秘的にす るために、防音スタジオで効果音、特に琵琶が使われています。 一番知られているのは「雪女」 ですが、私は「黒髪」が一番怖いと思いました。特 に「黒髪」の終盤に、主人公が崩れ落ちていく部屋から逃げようとするところで、主 人公の心理を体感します。それは本当に恐ろしいです。 それから、 この映画には歴史的な要素がたくさんあるので、歴史好きな人が見 ると楽しめるでしょう。そして、驚くことに、 日本的な美しい演出（カメラに映るセッ ト、小道具、俳優、衣裳、照明効果など）は全て手作りだそうです。そのため、制作 費がとても高く、約三億円かかったそうです。 みなさん、ホラームービーに興味があったら、是非、 この映画を見て楽しんでく ださい！ Français

Kwaïdan
Est-ce que ça vous tente de voir un film d’horreur cet été? Si oui, nous avons un film a vous recommander : Kwaïdan (1965) Comme le titre le suggère, ce film est composé d’histoires merveilleuses et terrifiantes. Kwaïdan est le 15e film du réalisateur Masaki Kobayashi et est l’adaptation d’une collection d’histoires d’horreurs écrites par Yakumo Koizumi. Tatsuya Nakadai est un des acteurs dans le film. Il apparaît dans onze films réalisés par Kobayashi et cinq par le réalisateur Akira Kurosawa. Le film est constitué de quatre histoires : « Cheveux noirs » (avec Michiyo Aratama), « La Femme des neiges » (avec Tatsuya Nakadai et Keiko Kishi), « Hoïchi sans oreilles »

Kwaidan This summer vacation, are you in the mood to watch a scary movie? We have a great movie to recommend: 1965's Kwaidan. As the name suggests, it's a film of frightening and wonderful stories. It is the 15th film by director Masaki Kobayashi, the original stories come from a collection of horror stories by Yakumo Koizumi. The cast includes Tatsuya Nakadai. Nakadai has appeared in 11 of Kobayashi's films, and 5 by director Akira Kurosawa. Kwaidan's plot is made of four stories: “Black Hair” (starring Michiyo Aratama,) “The Snow Woman” (starring Tatsuya Nakadai and Keiko Kishi,) “Hoichi the Earless”
(avec Katsuo Nakamura), et « Dans un bol de thé » (avec Kan’emon Nakamura). Chaque histoire aborde un thème surnaturel. Des instruments comme le biwa (un instrument à corde japonais) ont été utilisés pour mieux convenir à l’ambiance mystérieuse du film. Notre histoire préférée fut La Femme de neige, mais nous avons pensé que Cheveux noirs était plus épeurant. Vers la fin de l’histoire, lorsque le personnage principal tente de s’enfuir, on peut vraiment ressentir sa peur. C’est une histoire terrifiante. De plus, car ce film a plusieurs éléments historiques, les amateurs d’histoire aimeront sûrement ce film. La mise en scène japonaise était magnifique et avait une apparence très artisanale. Ce souci du détail a nécessité un budget considérable. Le coût total du film était d’environ 300 million de yens! Si vous aimez les films d’horreur, n’hésitezpas à allez voir Kwaïdan.

This is really horrifying. In addition, since this film has many historic elements, anyone who enjoys history should enjoy watching this film. Surprisingly, the film's beautiful Japanese miseen-scene (sets, actors, lighting effects, costumes) has the appearance of being hand made. Because of this, the budget was very expensive. It was reported to be around 300 million yen! If you are interested in horror movies, by all means watch this movie please!

Instructions 1. Place (A) in a bowl and mix all up. Place the bowl in a steamer, turn the burner to high and let steam for roughly 3 minutes.

On y propose également les thés hauts de gamme de la maison française NINA’S Paris, pourtant rares à Montréal. Une seule gorgée du « Marie-Antoinette », un thé au parfum de pomme et de rose, vous transportera directement à l’époque rococo. Côté desserts, le croisement du croissant et du cupcake a donné naissance à l’unique « Crocake » dont la garniture est changée quotidiennement. À vrai dire, j’irais presque chaque jour pour tous les goûter! Lors de ma visite, il était généreusement garni de crème d’arachides et de pop-corn, un mariage évidemment populaire. Les classiques que représentent la tarte au citron, le gâteau au fromage et le gâteau au chocolat sont juste assez sucrés, en parfaite harmonie avec les fruits qu’ils contiennent. Bref, les desserts et leur élégante présentation s’harmonisent parfaitement au décor raffiné du Petit Trianon. Here, Kittel’s espresso has a distinguished balance that is popular with coffee amateurs and experts alike. You can also enjoy highquality French tea from NINA’s Paris, which is particularly difficult to come by in Montreal. One such tea drink I heartily recommend is the “Marie-Antoinette,” a tea flavored with apples and rose. One sip and you’ll be transported back to the era of Rococo.
Another great choice is the café’s own original Crocake: a mix between a croissant and cupcake offered with new toppings daily. I almost want to stop in every day just to try them all. Today’s Crocake, for example, was abundantly garnished with a popular combination of peanut cream and popcorn. Standard lemon cakes, cheese cakes and chocolate cakes are also fruity and perfectly balanced. Their beautiful presentation is truly fit to be eaten in the elegant setting of the Petit Trianon.

近頃、 「ずいぶんと遠くまで来たよなぁ」 とふと 感じることがある。 生まれ育った国を離れて、 ここ、ケベックの地で 生活して早ん十年の月日が経ち、さて、 これから の人生、 ここでどうやって生きていこうかと漠然 とした不安を感じていたある日、小さな田舎町 で暮らすステキな女性に出会った。 彼女の名前は、Mireille Vittecoqさん。 フランス 生まれ。 28歳のときに、 フランスとケベックの間で行わ れた、教職員のエクスチェンジのプログラムに よってケベックにやってきた。55歳で退職するま で、Mireilleさんはケベックの各地で美術講師と して指導をしてきた。 現在は、モントリオールから北におよそ250キ ロ離れたSaint-Aimé-du-Lac-des-Îlesという湖 畔の小さな村で、夫のMarcさん、猫のPeggyに Michka、犬のBlackyと暮らしている。また、彼女 は35年程前にハイチから養子を引き取り、息子 にしている。

Présentement, elle vit avec son mari Marc, ses chats Peggy et Michka, et son chien Blacky dans un petit village au bord du lac “SaintAimé-du-Lac-des-Îles”, situé à 250 kilomètres au nord de Montréal. Il y a 35 ans, elle a aussi adopté un garçon d’Haïti qu’elle a élevé.

そんなMireilleさんの生き方は、北国の最果て の小さな村で老後の生活を送るなんて、さぞか し退屈なんじゃないかなぁ･･･と思っていた私を 気持ちよく驚かせてくれた。

on, I met a wonderful woman living in a small rural town. Her name is Mireille Vittecoq. She is French. She first came to Quebec when she was 28 years old, thanks to a FranceQuebec teachers exchange program. Until she retired at 55, she taught art throughout Quebec. She currently lives in Saint-Aimé-duLac-des-Îles, a small village by a lake 250 km north of Montreal, along with her husband Marc, their cats Peggy and Michka, and their dog Blacky. 35 years ago, she adopted and raised a Haitian boy.
I was worried I’d get bored after retirement, living in such a small northern village, but her life style was a reassuring surprise. There is a secondary residence built in her backyard. Half of it is Mireille's atelier, and the other half is Marc's wood workshop. In both workshops there are tools which go beyond the range of a hobby. Mireille works with nature elements, for example with tree roots she finds during walks through hills and fields, or with shells and stones she picks up on trips. She devotes time to shaping things, integrating the sense of art she has cultivated and using her sensitivity to emphasize the nature around her.
La vie de Mireille est une bonne surprise pour moi qui pensait qu’il serait ennuyant de vieillir dans un petit village au nord du pays. Il y a une deuxième maison construite dans l’arrière-cour de chez eux. La moitié de cette maison est l’atelier de Mireille. L’autre moitié est l’atelier de menuiserie de Marc. Il y a beaucoup d’outils qui vont bien plus loin qu’un passe-temps dans ces ateliers. Les œuvres de Mireille, par exemple, sont faites avec les racines d’arbres qu’elle a trouvées en se promenant dans les champs et les collines, ou avec des coquillages et cailloux qu’elle ramasse durant ses voyages. Dévouée à mettre en valeur la nature qui l’entoure, elle se consacre à réaliser des créations inspirés par une sensibilité artistique qu’elle a cultivée tout au long de sa vie. Une des œuvres de Mireille qu’elle m’a montrée était une broche faite à partir d’un bracelet brisé, un souvenir de sa mère. Elle est attachée à toutes ses oeuvres, donc elle n’a pas l’intention de les vendre. Cette femme de 72 ans semble étinceler comme si elle était une jeune fille. C’est la création de ses objets d’art qui lui permet de donner une forme concrète à l’expression de ses sentiments et de sa sensibilité. Cela m’a fait réaliser que l’endroit où l’on vit n’est pas aussi important que la manière dont on vit pour égayer sa vie. Pour cela, je suis reconnaissante de notre rencontre!
One of the pieces she showed me was a brooch she crafted using a broken bracelet that had belonged to her mother. Every piece of art she creates has some emotional attachment, therefore she does not intend to sell them. She lives with a passion to give shape to her thoughts and sensitivity, and it makes her seem bright and energetic, as a young girl would be. This made me realize that where you live doesn’t matter so much. It’s how you live that’s the key to brightening your life. I'm very grateful for the encounter I had with her! 石垣島離島ターミナル周辺散策 石垣島離島ターミナルは、小浜島、竹富島や西表島など八重山離 島への玄関口です。 ターミナル内には、各船舶会社、ツアー会社の チケット売り場や、売店、飲食店などがあります。 私たちは「星野リゾート リゾナーレ小浜島」を午前中にチェック アウトし、フェリーで石垣島離島ターミナルへ。飛行機に乗るまで 時間があったので、荷物をコインロッカーに預けて、その周辺をお 土産目当てに歩いてみました。
雑貨カフェ 「石垣ペンギン」 まず最初に向かったのは、離島ターミナルから徒歩３分くらいの ところにある 「石垣ペンギン」です。目的は、食べるラー油の元祖と される 「石垣島ラー油」を購入すること。 ブーム中は、入手困難のた め幻のラー油とも言われていたそうですが、今回は店内に在庫が ありすぐに購入できました。 「石垣島ラー油」は、島唐辛子、 ウコン、 ピパーチ、石垣の塩、黒糖、ニンニクなどの島の具材がたっぷり入 っています。辛さ控えめで、餃子だけでなく、サラダやラーメン、チ ーズとも合います。お好みの食べ方を研究してみるのも楽しいか も。
お土産探しなら 「ユーグレナモール」 ユーグレナモールには、 メイン通りの「中央通り」 と北に平行する 「銀座通り」の2本のアーケードがあり、お菓子や特産物、泡盛、Tシ ャツ、民芸品などのお店があります。

Première étape : le terminal portuaire d'Ishigaki Le terminal portuaire d'Ishigaki est la porte d’entrée de l’archipel des îles Yaeyama, qui comprend entre autres les îles Kohama, Taketomi et Iriomote. Au petit matin, nous quittons l’hôtel resort Hoshino Risonare sur l’île de Kohama et nous embarquons sur le ferry en direction du terminal d’Ishigaki. Nous déposons nos bagages à la consigne et, profitant du temps libre avant notre vol, nous partons à la découverte des environs en quête de souvenirs à rapporter.

Il s’agit d’une des boutiques sur Chuo Dori réputée pour sa grande variété de chandails originaux arborant des styles aussi bien mignons qu’élégants. Le chandail pour lequel nous avons eu un coup de cœur représentait un requin baleine, dont le nom est un mizusaba dans le dialecte d’Okinawa. L’animal lui-même n’a pas l’apparence d’un requin à proprement dit et l’imprimé rencontre un large succès, dû certainement à son design plutôt mignon. Les chandails d’Ishigaki sont élégants et bien conçus,
L’Ishigaki Penguin Nous nous arrêtons au restaurant Ishigaki Penguin, situé à trois minutes de marche du terminal, afin de nous procurer du rāyu, une huile pimentée faite à partir de graines de sésame. Au plus fort de sa popularité, il lui fut donné le nom de « rāyu imaginaire » en raison de la pénurie qui en résulta. Toutefois, je suis arrivé au bon moment pour en acheter une bouteille, le stock étant bien pourvu. Le rāyu d’Ishigaki contient une riche variété d’ingrédients locaux, tels que des piments forts cultivés sur l’île, du curcuma, du poivre long, du sel Ishigaki, du sucre brun et de l’ail. Le goût légèrement épicé se marie bien avec les salades, les nouilles de rāmen et aux fromage, sans oublier les gyôza (raviolis japonais). En fait, l’expérience de tester et de découvrir votre accord rāyu et mets préféré pourrait s’avérer très divertissante.

Exploring the Ishigakijima Port Terminal Ishigakijima Port Terminal is the entrance to the Yaeyama Island chain, which includes Kohamajima, Taketomijima and Iriomotejima. Inside the terminal, there are ticket booths for ferry and tour companies, as well as kiosks and restaurants. We checked out Hoshino Resort Resonare Kohamajima in the morning and headed for Ishigakijima Port Terminal by ferry. We put our luggage in the coin locker and explored the area for souvenirs since we had a lot of time before our flight.
Zakka cafe Ishigaki Penguin The first place that we visited was Ishigaki Penguin, situated three minutes away on foot from the port terminal. The purpose of this visit was to buy Ishigaki ra-yu, the original edible ra-yu, which is a spicy sesame seed oil. During its booming period, it was called “imaginary ra-yu” due to its scarcity. However, I was able to buy a bottle on the spot this time since they had enough in stock. Ishigaki ra-yu contains plenty of local ingredients, such

Yu-grena mall for souvenir hunting There are two shopping arcades, Chuo Dori, which is the main street, and Ginza Dori, which runs parallel to the north. You can find sweets, special products, Awamori, T-shirts and folk craft goods.
Stylish and cute T-shirts at Ishigakiten This is one of the shops on Chuo Dori. It’s been said to have the grandest variety of original T-shirts with designs ranging from cute to chic. The T-shirt we selected had a whale shark, called mizusaba in Okinawa dialect. The beast itself does not look like a shark per say and the print has it howling, which is quite cute. The basic Ishigaki T-shirts looked chic and were well designed, so we bought one as our souvenir. I would recommend this store if you are looking for a souvenir to bring back to Canada.

This shop is located on Ginza Dori, one of the streets of the Yu-gurena mall, and is perfect for hunting cute zakka items in Ishigakijima. A wide range of goods such as Ryukyu glass, bingata items, small objects made by artists in Ishigaki, tenugui hand towels and bags can be found here. Bingata is a traditional colouring method iconic of Okinawa. At the store, you can experience bingata by dyeing T-shirts, bags and cloths with your favorite colours and shapes. We really suggest making an appointment and trying it for yourself.

Going about Kanazawa, the hottest town in Japan now (2)
Higashichaya district Higashichaya district is located near Asano river and runs along the east end of Kanazawa station. It’s an indispensable, popular spot in a tour of Kanazawa. The district is officially called “Higashiyama Higashi” and is designated as the Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings. It’s interesting to walk around the neighbourhood as it will give you the feeling of being transported through time. I fully felt that while I was there. This district seems to be a big favourite with not only Japanese people but also foreign tourists. Kanazawan are known for their overflowing initiative. While cherishing their traditional history they’re not reluctant to take new things in. Rather they do so willingly. The contrastive combination of tradition and innovation is characteristic of Kanazawa. ■ Attractions in the Higashichaya district including traditional handicrafts, Japanese sweets, inns, restaurants, etc. There are 140 buildings in the Higashichaya district, which span the length of 130 meters from south to north and 180 meters from east
to west in approximately 1.8 hectares. Two thirds of that area are kept in the traditional style. Many townhouses in teahouse style, built between the founding of Chayamachi and the beginning of Meiji era, are still preserved. In 1580, Morimasa Sakuma built Kanazawa castle in Kanazawa and Toshiie Maeda entered the castle in 1583. Since then, Kanazawa had prospered as a castle town. It was said that many teahouses stood side by side. At present there are various types of businesses that have been running since the Edo period including inns, restaurants, Japanese sweet shops, all of which are purveyors of the Kaga domain. Well known local specialties are Fu bread made from steamed wheat gluten and Kutaniyaki porcelain (Kutani ware). In addition, you can also find an abundance of variety stores. Out of all the Kaga traditional handicrafts stores selling products with gold leaf, Hakuza Hikarizo is the most outstanding among them. Ninety-nine percent of the gold leaf production in Japan is produced in the Kanazawa region. You’ll see gold leaf everywhere in the store. There are bowls covered with gold leaf, gold leaf cakes, and other various items. The storehouse went to extreme lengths and designed the interior as well as the exterior with gold leaf. All that gold leaf becomes painfully bright to look at. Gold leaf trial sessions are available in the store. (Reservation required: 076-252-3641)

Il y a 140 bâtiments dans le quartier de Higashichaya, couvrant 130 mètres du Sud au Nord sur 180 mètres de l’Est à l’Ouest pour une surface d’environ 1,8 hectare. Les deux tiers de cette zone sont conservés dans le style traditionnel. De nombreuses maisons alignées dans le genre des maisons de thé, construites entre la fondation de Chayamachi et le début de l’ère Meiji, sont toujours conservées. En 1580, Morimasa Sakuma a construit le château de Kanazawa à Kanazawa et Toshiie Maeda est entré dans le château en 1583. La ville de Kanazawa a depuis prospéré autour de son château. On disait que de nombreuses maisons de thé s’élevaient les unes à côté des autres. Aujourd’hui, différents types de commerces ont été tenus depuis l’ère Edo dont des auberges, restaurants, confiseurs japonais, tous fournisseurs du domaine de Kaga. Les spécialités locales réputées sont le pain Fu fabriqué à partir de gluten de froment cuit à la vapeur et la porcelaine de Kutaniyaki (céramique Kutani). Il est également possible de trouver de nombreuses épiceries.
