Oktoberfest After a year off for reasons no one wants to discuss, Oktoberfest is coming back with another year of German Beer, German Food and some Good Ol Ooom Pa Pa Music. Alpen Schatz will be playing the hits and the Pogo Bros will be bringing the laughs and entertainment.

Lunch & Listen: Highlighting the Classical Guitar with Iliana Matos The U of L Conservatory of Music is hosting a concert series which occurs on the first Friday of every month from September to December. Hungarian Rhapsody with Bradley Parker Liszt drew on exotic Magyar and traditional gypsy music to write his Hungarian rhapsodies, as did Bartok in many works. The music alternates long and short rhythms, which brings to mind the czardas, a Hungarian dance. Be prepared for flash and fire as these works capture your imagination.
