Special Events Colleyville Clean Sweep Saturday, April 14 Keep Colleyville clean by volunteering at the Clean Sweep event beginning at 8:30am, at McPherson Park. The Crud Cruiser and Shredinator, a document shredding service, will be available at Colleyville Heritage High School (CHHS), 5401 Heritage Avenue, from 9am until they are full.

Texas Junior Anglers’ Enjoy a great day of FREE fishing! Prizes will be awarded. Poles and bait will be provided or bring your own. No pre-registration required.

Parents Night Out Parents Night Out events are legendary and beyond fun at Advanced Martial Arts Family Center! Sign up no later than two days prior and plan a night out, without the kids. Welcome Note Turn that frown upside down— it’s summer time! Create a summer full of smiles with some great NEW classes sure to make everyone in your family happy. Summer can be long and boring if you don’t get out of the house and make it an adventure. Head over to City Park to try one of our many tennis camps, classes or lessons— from beginner to advanced. When visiting McPherson Park this summer, why not take a Digital Photography and Editing Class for Adults (pg 9), Under the Sea (pg 5) youth class or Yoga for Youngsters (pg 8) for tweens at the Rock House while you’re there! If you are looking to pick up a new skill or just stay fit this summer, the Fort Worth Cats All-Skills Camp (pg 7) or the Indoor Flag Football (pg 7) can provide you a fun workout that will keep you smiling. Youth Enrichment Jo-Ann's Little Dancers These classes develop your child's poise and coordination, while teaching fundamentals of ballet and tap. Classes promote group interaction skills and build your child's self-esteem and positive self-image. Students develop rhythm and music appreciation skills. Little dancers can showcase their new skills at the formal summer recital held at the conclusion of the last session. Additional costume and recital fees will apply. Great Big Messy Art Camp by Abrakadoodle Oh, go ahead and make a mess! That's what this camp is all about—messy art and creative imagination—expanding experiences! Safety NET for Kids

Tot Tumbling and Sports This class will prepare your small tot physically and emotionally to perform in organized sports. The Safety Net for Kids seminar teaches your elementary aged child essential safety information. The concepts taught will keep your child safe from potentially dangerous situations, making them NO EASY TARGET (NET). This program is endorsed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Code Amber Alert organizations. Parents are encouraged to stay and take part in the activities. Animal Fun Camp

The return to traditional manners is bringing about an increased appreciation of good manners, but good manners should not be self-conscious. They must be practiced so that they become automatic. Your child will participate in fun and informative activities including role playing exercises, using instructive materials, watching videos, playing etiquette games, storytelling, etc. We will test your child’s manners on the last day with a real "tea" party. Each day you will explore the animal kingdom! In this camp you will learn about many different animals, where and how they live, what they eat, etc. You will read animal stories, play animal games and make animal crafts. Instructor: Elaine Parry

Youth Enrichment Adventures In Art Camp Finally, a camp where you learn fine art and creative thinking instead of just simple crafts! You will complete eight amazing finished works of art using five different mediums: watercolor, acrylic and oil, oil pastels, pencil and charcoal, that you will be proud to frame and display. You will master the fundamentals of painting and perspectives drawing, using such methods as brush loading and mixing, wet-on-wet techniques, color theory, and much more. All art supplies are provided. Wear an old shirt and bring paper towels. There is a $60 supply fee due to the instructor on the first day of class. Mad Science ALL STARS You have been selected to participate on the Mad Science All-Star team! Together with your teammates, you will build super structures, create a volcanic eruption and examine rocks formed from volcanic magma. Athletics Challenger British Soccer Camp

Dodgeball

British soccer camps provide players of all ages and abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts. Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages and a daily tournament. Camp programs include a free ball and t-shirt. Each camper will receive a free British Soccer jersey when you sign up online at Challengersports.com at least 45 days prior to camp. We have programs that cater to all ages and abilities. Picnic Pavilion Rentals Rentals include picnic tables for exclusive use through the rental process. Pavilions that are available for rent: City Park, Colleyville Nature Center, Kimzey Park, McPherson Park and Sparger Park. Colleyville Nature Center is the only pavilion with a grill.
