Park Spotlight

Spotlighting . . .

Colleyville Nature Center Located at 100 Mill Wood Drive This was the first park developed by the city after re-establishing the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and approving the parks master plan in 1991. Herman Smith, Colleyville resident and developer of the Mill Creek subdivision, donated the land for this park. The park was developed with a 1992 grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission and dedicated in February 1994. The land donation was used as the city’s matching contribution to qualify for the $472,750 state grant, and was the first state grant received by the city.

Associations

The Nature Center is home to the Texas Junior Anglers Fishing event in the spring and the Haunted Trail event in October. Amenities include an amphitheater, covered pavilion, fishing pier, grill, 3.5-mile multi-use trail, playground and nine ponds. If you are interested in renting the pavilion at the Nature Center for your next gathering, please visit us at ColleyvillePARD.com
