Colleyville Clean Sweep Volunteer a little time to keep Colleyville
beautiful at the annual fall Clean Sweep. Every fall, volunteer teams disperse throughout the city to collect trash from parks and roadways in a citywide community clean-up. Haunted Trail Fest Princesses, pirates, goblins and ghouls all come to enjoy a night of arts and crafts, games and amusement, before venturing down the haunted trail. Pumpkin craft decorating, costume contests for people and pets, and not-so-scary storytelling – what better way to spend an October eve. Activities are free; $3 admission to the haunted trail. Jo-Ann’s Little Dancers These classes develop a child’s poise and coordination, while teaching fundamentals of ballet and tap. Classes promote group interaction skills and build your child’s self-esteem and positive self-image. Students develop rhythm and music appreciation skills. Little dancers can showcase their new skills at the informal holiday program held at the conclusion of the second session. Additional fees may apply. Pre-Gym Gymnastics Our program encompasses all of the traditional gymnastics equipment including the trampoline. Our students primary focus will be learning rolls, handstands and cartwheels. Rock Climbing Meet at Mineral Wells State Park for an adventurous autumn day of climbing. Instructors carefully lead you through various climbing areas focusing on your skills and goals. You’ll have a blast completing six beautiful holiday themed artworks under the guidance of a professional artist and certified instructors from the acclaimed Robert Garden School of Art. Volleyball Mini Camp This all-skill-volleyball camp brings the most qualified volleyball coaches in the region to Colleyville. Girls on the Run (GOTR) uses interactive activities, such as running and creative games to teach you about important issues. You’ll learn to deal with peer pressure, body image, making health decisions, teamwork and giving back to the community. Girls train together to walk or run a 5K at the end of the season on Nov. 19. The league is designed to introduce young ladies from 9 to 13 years to the game of volleyball. It was created to provide a safe, fun environment to learn the basic premises of the game through practices, teaching fundamental volleyball skills, sports ethics and league competition. Players will get an hour and a half of practice each week with balls provided both at practices and games. Players will also receive a team t-shirt. Register as a team or an individual. Coaches can sign up an entire team with a minimum of eight players and maximum of ten players at a discounted rate. A clinic for volunteer coaches will be available. Placement on a particular team is not guaranteed. The season will end with a single-elimination tournament. Games are on Saturday starting Oct. 1 through Nov. 19. Registration ends Sept. 14.

This ultra-popular program includes several versions of dodgeball. We don’t use “playground” balls, but special safer dodgeballs. You’ll learn many new dodgeball games you didn’t even know about. Picnic Pavilion Rentals Rentals include picnic tables for exclusive use through the rental process. Register early! Don’t let a GREAT class get cancelled! Each class must reach a minimum number of participants two days prior to the start date of class. This is a courtesy to our instructors and other participants enrolled. Satisfaction Guaranteed! If for any reason, you are unhappy with a class, we will refund your money, transfer you to another class or provide you a credit. Refund and Transfer Policy Full refunds will be granted when requested five days prior to the start date of the class. Refunds requested less than five days will be granted a refund less a $5 administrative fee. If courses are cancelled by the Parks and Recreation Department due to low enrollment or other circumstances, the participant may: request to transfer to another class, have registration fee applied to account, use at a later date or receive a full refund by check (mailed 7 to 10 business days) to your home address. No cash refunds.
