Summer Reading Rules Who may enter? The Summer Reading Program is open to children, teens, and adults. Those ages 12 and under are considered to be in the children’s category; teens are ages 13-18; adults are 19 and over.

How does it work? Starting on Tuesday, May 28, participants can begin tracking the number of books they read or the number of minutes they read. • Register May 28 through July 20 to receive your reading log. • All materials must be checked out from the Colleyville Public Library. • Books must be kept at least one night. • Keep all reading receipts and attach them to the reading logs provided.
How do I count my reading? Reading can be counted by book titles or by time. • Title log (8 books) • Time log (5 hours = 300 minutes) What kind of reading counts for children? • Reading a book • Reading an e-book • Listening to a story • Listening to an audiobook • Attending a library story time What kind of reading counts for teens and adults? Read or listen to a book, e-book, audiobook, or attend teen or adult programs.
What are the prizes for children, teens, and adults? reading t-shirt and goodie bag, plus an entry form for the grand prize drawing. Subsequent reading rewards are a prize from the Stellar Reader Prize Room, plus an additional entry form for the grand prize drawing. For teens and adults, complete a prize entry form for each book read or program attended. Weekly drawings will be held in the teen and adult categories. Participants who have t-shirt and be eligible for the grand prize drawing. May 31st prize. All prizes must be claimed no later than Saturday, July 20th.
YOUTH PROGRAMS REGISTRATION OPENS FOR CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING Enjoy stories, crafts, and fun activities at the library during story time. Registration is open to all library card holders.
