Working with the Golf Shop staff is essential for providing excellent guest services. Two fundamentally different groups can work together to be successful in serving mutual interests which leads to synergy and excellence. Smith explains that while PGA of America Golf Professionals and shop staff are on the front lines of receiving customer feedback, they support the work the grounds crew does to maintain the property In return, maintenance teams will work difficult hours to support the inside staff for events and daily play This mutually respectful relationship is what breeds success and provides the best possible experience for golfers at all seven facilities

Another way Pamela and her teams set themselves apart is through innovation Denver golf is very proactive on environmental initiatives such as converting some areas from formal landscape to food gardens with the produce being donated to a charitable kitchen Denver facilities are also working toward using more biological and organic means of tending turf and surrounding areas instead of traditional chemicals

“As the Director of Agronomy for Denver Golf, I have been privileged to lead a team of some of the best golf course superintendents and work with the best golf professionals.” An outstanding leader in Colorado Golf, Smith’s team provided excellent course conditions for over 425,000 rounds of golf in 2022 alone. Pamela also credits her success to the exceptionally talented people and the teamwork they share
