Pamela Smith Director of Agronomy City of Denver Golf Smith Uses a Continual Improvement Mindset to Constantly Drive Her Team to be Their Best How do you lead Agronomy operations and teams at seven facilities at once? You lead and innovate like Pamela Smith. Through a continual improvement mindset, Pamela and her team are constantly driving to be better versions of themselves which is reflected in their ability to improve playing conditions at Denver Golf facilities. They are proud to deliver a quality golfing experience that is still affordable and accessible.

Working with the Golf Shop staff is essential for providing excellent guest services. Two fundamentally different groups can work together to be successful in serving mutual interests which leads to synergy and excellence. Smith explains that while PGA of America Golf Professionals and shop staff are on the front lines of receiving customer feedback, they support the work the grounds crew does to maintain the property. In return, maintenance teams will work difficult hours to support the inside staff for events and daily play. This mutually respectful relationship is what breeds success and provides the best possible experience for golfers at all seven facilities.
