Editor's Note: Hey Key Clubbers! Happy November! We only have a few weeks left of school before Thanksgiving and Winter Break! I can't believe the semester is already almost over. As this is the month of gratitude, I challenge you all to tell someone you appreciate them :) As we approach these breaks, make sure you're on the Remind and keeping up with the club Instagram!

Month Long Events: Teacher Appreciation Card Making Dare the Board

Our club has been working so hard this month to overcome multiple obstacles! We are so happy to see new members being active and serving the community!

Old News
Food Bank Event On November 9th at 3:30, we met at the food bank. Members helped package produce and move bags of bread into boxes.
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with each other. "It was fun getting to help the community alongside my friends. I enjoyed doing it and I only wish I could've done more to help," said Key Clubber Sergio Martinez.
The board members also enjoyed connecting with all of you who came! President Alex Barnes stated, "This event was a really fun opportunity to bond with our Key Club members! It truly felt like a normal Key Club event of years past. Our club was so happy to help the community prepare for Thanksgiving!"
Current Events!
Dare The Officer We have an opportunity this month to dare an officer! Each dare costs $3, which can be paid to our wonderful treasurer @tommysnguyen through his venmo or in person with cash. Money goes to our club and PTP!
The dares will only be available for the month of November!
If you have an idea for a dare that's not on the list, feel free to text Alex and ask him if it's possible! Make sure to keep it safe-key :)
If using Venmo, make sure to add the name of officer and dare in the comment. Ex: "Samantha Holmen, take a shot of soy sauce"
Teacher Appreciation Card Event
Since the pandemic, teachers have been experiencing burn out and a lot of them feel under appreciated. We want to change that! We will be making teacher appreciation cards during lunch in Mr. Wilson's room, 210, or just on your own!
You can make however many you want, but the maximum counted for will be 8 cards, and each card gives you .5 service hours. When you're done, give your cards either to Kolby or Alex in order to get service hours!
Dues
We will have a due date for membership dues soon! Be on the look out for that :)
