Use smooth toothpaste
Whitening toothpastes are a great way to maintain your smile, but make sure you pick carefully. ‘Use whitening toothpastes without micro granules,’ says cosmetic dental surgeon Dr Nina Bal. ‘Many whitening toothpastes are very abrasive. They give an illusion of whitening the teeth but actually remove enamel, making the tooth even more porous.’ We love gentle yet effective Arm & Hammer Natural Clean + White, £2.99.
