Tabernacle Twins’ show at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange revealed a fondness for mechanics, prints, and silk for winter AW13.

A varied collection sporting everything from ultra-short jackets, cozy knitwear, slim jumpsuits, leggings, knickers, light, casual silk dresses, long, slouchy cardigans and jacket-like dresses.
The colors cale featured a contrast of prints and watercolor patterns of black, medium brown and hues of burgundy oozing of African safari, interrupted by a purple. The models’ fauxhawk hairstyle combined with heavy dark painted eyes and lips evoked a raw feeling of African wilderness.
Tabernacle Twins’ AW13 collection had a touch of summer in its expression, as it was short on outerwear and contained an assortment more suitable for warmer seasons. However, the collection came across as coherent with a colorful and noisy universe of interesting prints and good fitting.

Super Mario – for the win!
On Friday around midnight, Copenhagen-based menswear brand Han Kjøbenhavn closed Copenhagen Fashion Week with a characteristic scenery built around the 90s video game hit number one, Super Mario Brothers. The first timers at Copenhagen Fashion Week’s show scene went for the win, playing their favorite videogame before the eyes of an audience full of anticipation in a sports hall in Copenhagen East.

The models entered Mario land, wearing big plastic heads and hands, Japanese-style, displaying a group of anonymous males, moving as robots in a maze, slowpaced to the repeating chant of the Super Mario Brothers theme tune. With nods to 70s’ tight and sporty style, the collection featured short tight jackets, slim fit leggings-like pants with pipelines in the sides, shining embroidered satin bomber jackets, short casual tight blaz-
ers, layered shirts, classic knits and knee-long jackets with a chilled edge, shaped with hints of Japanese style. The collection sported cool details like wooden buttons, white plateau sneakers, tiny embroidered cherries, printed and embroidered air balloons and contrasting color block on sweats and jackets in mixed materials. The sporty theme was balanced in a layered styling, adding an underplayed feel of casual street. A color scale flagging dark in contrast to sharp army, curry yellow, orange, medium brown, camel, light turquoise and shining grey and browns painted the collection. The collection appeared hip and wearable, heading for a wide range of types, and appeared quite macho. Overall a cool contribution to Copenhagen-like males, trimmed for the win.
