YOUR INSIDERS’ GUIDE TO
WELCOME TO
We are delighted to welcome you to a week of fashion and proudly introduce you to our city. If you have spare time in between the many shows and events we want you to go explore all that Copenhagen has to offer. Along with our partner, Wonderful Copenhagen, we bring you the best insider tips to our city. Enjoy Copenhagen Fashion Week and the city of Copenhagen! CAMILLA FRANK CEO, Copenhagen Fashion Week Copenhagen is a city with so many great spots and things to do. After careful consideration these two are my permanent top 2: I love running in Copenhagen all year round. A beautiful and varied route starts at Kgs Nytorv (close to my private home) and cross Knippelsbro to Christianshavn, along the lakeside to Islands Brygge, cross the new bridge at Aller Media House and back along the other side. It’s only around 6k, but if you have more time, it’s easy to extend. Secondly I’m addicted to the canal boats and use them all the time, all year round. Such a wonderful time off from my often very busy schedule. havnerundfart.dk
ANNE LOSE Editor-in-Chief, Eurowoman My favourite thing to do in Copenhagen is to bring my family to one of the city’s many fantastic museums. Right now Glyptoteket and The National Gallery of Denmark are at the top of my list. Glyptoteket is an amazing treasure chest of historical art, breathtaking architecture - and their bookshop, The Museum Store, is furnished by Danish HAY and I just love to buy a book or two each time I visit the museum. The National Gallery of Denmark is right next to my home and means a lot to me - this is the place where I get to go in depth with art history. I love art and my taste spans from Eckersberg and Hammershøi to Edvard Weie and Richard Mortensen. Right now the exhibition Japanomania is an absolute must! smk.dk | glyptoteket.dk
SILLE HENNING Fashion Director, ALT for damerne Mornings in Copenhagen are my favorite. The city is still quiet, slowly waking up, and most people are on their way, while I meet up with friends or work relations for breakfast - that is the best way to start the day. One of my favorite places is Fars Dreng - it’s very low-key with many regulars and nothing fancy at all, but the coffee is good and the menu - though small - includes everything from Acai bowls and avocado to homemade waffles. What’s not to like. farsdreng.com
ANDREA ELISABETH RUDOLPH Founder of Rudolph Care The harbour bath in the Copenhagen harbour. I love bathing in the sea, which I do all year around. It’s amazing that the water surrounding our city is so clean that you can actually bathe in it. There are several harbour baths to choose from (Islands Brygge, Svanemøllen, Sluseholmen) so there is nothing stopping you. A cold dip in the water is the best way to get the blood pumping through your body and feel alive - and another bonus effect: If you’re hungover, it’s a fast cure.

Copenhagen truly has so much to offer. But since I can only recommend one thing, then let me suggest getting hold of a bike and taking a ride along our new cycling route Havneringen. The route leads you around the inner harbor, passing beautiful scenery, historic buildings, lovely cafes and also crossing many of our world renowned bicycle bridges. It’s a beautiful ride, showing the city at its best - even here in the cold months.
CECILIE BAHNSEN Designer When I’m in town I always love to stop by the luxury boutique LOT29. Not only does the store have the best section of national and international menswear and womenswear design in the city, but they house it all in beautiful and unique interior surroundings. After discovering the treasures of this store, I love to relax at Atelier September across the street with a fresh juice and a magazine. lot29.dk | cafeatelierseptember.com
LARS VALLENTIN CHRISTENSEN Head of Events, Wonderful Copenhagen As you might have noticed Copenhagen is a bike friendly city and I try to spend as much time on my bikes as possible. Commuting to and from work on my ordinary bike and racing in and around Copenhagen on my road bike. I suggest you rent a city bike and go for a ride. My favorite place to rest, relax and enjoy coffee is at Christianshavns Boat Rental and Café situated on a floating dock in the canal. A great mix of locals and tourists on their way to Freetown Christiania nearby.
PERNILLE TEISBÆK & HANNAH LØFFLER Creative Director & Managing Director, Social Zoo Our go-to spot is Beau Marché, which is the ideal spot for meeting up whether it’s for an intimate morning coffee, a business lunch or a cool glass of wine in the afternoon. And while you are there, you can also get a bit of interior design inspiration in their beautiful shop next door. beaumarche.dk
DITTE REFFSTRUP Creative Director, Ganni If you’re in Copenhagen during fashion week and you’ve got time to spare, I can highly recommend visiting The David Collection. One year we used the unique surroundings of the museum as the venue for presenting our collection. It’s a place I keep returning to again and again. davidmus.dk
