RELIEF FOR SHOPPERS Good news for the boys (and the girls) — there’s no longer any excuse not to stop by the amazing Holly Golightly shop. Men’s couture has landed. Collections from Dries Van Noten and Balenciaga will hit the Copenhagen store this fall, marking the opening of their new men’s section. Women can look forward to shopping without their significant other falling asleep.

A P R E S S I N G P RINT Should you be making your way through central Copenhagen any time this summer, make sure to stop by Storm. The shop has a new arrival — the amazingly French brand Givenchy. So if you’re in the mood for some printed items, you won’t go wrong swinging by and getting a piece of its pretty pre-collection for men.

GO TO THE MARKET Anywho x Looklab will soon be ready to launch their latest project. This fall, you’ll be able to get the sweetest deals topped with a delectable slice of fashion with an Anywho/Looklab touch. We won’t say more, but check out www.marchemarche.dk, and maybe you’ll end up a Chanel bag richer.

ANNONCE

SENSATIONS AND COLOUR... The sensation of a lipstick is also an important part of the overall impression. Flipstick has creamy, moisturizing and long-lasting formula with a pleasant scent. The colours range from wild “look-at-me” shades to more subdued and classic shades. All are matched by Max Factors own make-up artist to give you the opportunity to express your very own individual style and creativity.

THIS SUMMERS TENDENCIES IN THE WORLD OF FASHION “Behind the scenes at Fashion Week the trend is clear – colours, colours and more colours. The tendency for nails is short to medium length, filed round at the edges and painted in colour-rich high-gloss shades. And preferably matched to fresh colours on the lips to create a colour storm on the catwalk. With both Flipsticks and Glossfinitys wonderful spectrum of colours, it’s only a matter of being creative, bringing out your inner make-up artist and throwing yourself into the colours of summer!”

FLIP, MIX AND MATCH YOUR SUMMER LOOK! Fresh, visible colours are back on the fashion scene, but with the addition of your own personal twist. Flipstick from Max Factor is a 3-in-1 lipstick with a rich, full shade in one end and a brighter, complementary shade in the other. Use the shades separately or mix them into your very own third shade – or how about creating halftones to enhance your lips?

DON’T FORGET THE NAILS! Matching colours on lips and nails is back! Max Factors Glossfinity nail polishes comes in 21 sparkling and inviting colours – all are easily matched to the shades of your flipstick. But Glossfinity is not just about gorgeous colours, but also about shine. Glossfinity remains glossy for up to 7 days without fragging.

ADIDAS ORIGINALS A SPLASH OF COLOR

WORDS: MOUSSA MCHANGAMA PHOTO: COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK

Adidas Originals appeared last night for the first time in the Copenhagen Fashion Week’s show calendar. They showcased a collection for both men and women that ranged from the very sporty to the more edgily fashionable – from bathing suits and basket tees to legit outerwear. It was a colorful collection with a rich variety of prints that renewed adidas Originals’s signature look with a graphic edge. From animal printing over floral to a bold, colorful checked pattern, there was something for everyone in a collection so diverse it could easily be sold to anyone in search of an adventure in summer garments.

MAX.TAN JOURNEY TO THE EAST

WORDS: RIKKE DYRHOLM PHOTO: COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK

Saturday, Singapore-based label Max.Tan took the audience on a journey to the East, presenting a collection with a zing of 1920s Chinese village feel. Displaying a subdued color scheme in white, champagne, camel, black and icy blue, the classic yet somewhat androgynous tailoring came out in idiosyncratic refinement. A recurring theme this fashion week, gender bending appeared in Max.Tan’s vision of SS13, though in a softer, subtler way, experimenting with quirky cuts and silhouettes that conceal the wearer’s form. The collection, thoroughly oriental in theme, worked simple ideas into detailed tailoring in transparent, pleated and delicate materials that conveyed casual grace.

KOLDING SCHOOL OF DESIGN NEWBORN WONDERS

WORDS: RIKKE DYRHOLM PHOTO: COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK

Located in the old locomotive workshop in the south of Copenhagen, the graduate students of Kolding School of Design showed a profound grasp of Nordic design dipped in a twisted wonderland with cartoonish features. A solid and coherent presentation from the graduates that showed some rather promising and innovative pieces. Magic came alive in both imaginative tailoring, design and fit, forces of nature in materials and color scheme, giving an overall impression of an autumn day in Alice’s wonderland. Revealing a range of delicate womenswear design, balanced between creativ-

ity and wearability, the overall impression was very good considering the graduates’ lack of experience, particularly in the men’s department. The color range between the different designers balanced well in subdued hues for the ladies, and dark, contrasting color play for the men. A blackish caricatured warrior theme and a festival of circus clowns and deer interpretations appeared towards the end of the show and brought the imaginative and innovative creativity of the graduate show to another level, still in line with the whole feel of wonder. A new generation of designers is here to make its mark.
