Th e Wo r l d of Beauty The beauty industry's leading trade show returns to host over 2,700 exhibitors from 70 countries VISITORS FROM OVER 140 COUNTRIES gathered for the 53rd edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna on May 2, 2022. More than 2,700 exhibitors from 70 countries presented new innovation for the coming year, thanks to the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the ITA (Italian Trade Agency.) "We are really proud of the results of the exhibition: Cosmoprof has once again confirmed its role as a reference event for the global cosmetics industry," said Gianpiero Calzolari, President of Bologna Fiere. The event was a huge success in bringing industry experts together to discuss the new up-and-coming trends that are set to revolutionize the industry. Live demonstrations and masterclasses through Cosmotalks, an educational platform set up during the event, elevated the overall learning and community of the event. Even though some restrictions are still in place, having exhibitors and buyers meet after two years was the highlight of the event. Cosmoprof also has plans in place to return to pre-pandemic levels this year. "By 2021, the Italian cosmetics sector had shown its ability to react, and by 2022, despite the uncertainties of the international scenario, it is estimated to return to pre-crisis levels with the turnover that will return to exceed 12 billion euros," commented Renato Ancorotti, President of Cosmetics Italia.
